The MAC-10 | Storm Camo in Factory New (FN) is a Consumer Grade skin from The Ascent Collection: a solid blue camouflage for the Terrorist side. It is the cleanest of the skin's five wears. The MAC sits in the lowest rank in the game, and the skin comes in every wear for CS2.
What the MAC-10 | Storm Camo looks like in Factory New
By Valve's description, the submachine gun is painted in a solid blue camouflage. The caption on the finish reads "We all have to do things we don't like". The description gives no other details of the pattern.
This wear is given floats from 0.00 to 0.07. That is a little over a tenth of the skin's scale, which ends at 0.64.
Where the MAC-10 | Storm Camo came from
The Ascent Collection came out on March 31, 2025, and the skin has been part of the set from the start. Valve's note on that update says the three new collections hold more than seventy finishes, ranging from solid colors to gold reliefs. Valve's catalog number for the finish is 1269.
What to check before buying
Before buying the MAC-10 | Storm Camo, check the following:
- float: the closer the number is to zero, the less wear;
- the stickers and name tag already on this particular copy;
- the item type: this finish has no StatTrak version, so no listing carries a counter.
What the MAC-10 | Storm Camo costs in Factory New
Every other wear is cheaper than Factory New:
- Minimal Wear is cheaper by one and a half times;
- Field-Tested is cheaper by about 1.6 times;
- Well-Worn is cheaper by about 1.6 times;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about 1.6 times.
The three lowest wears cost nearly the same, and the biggest change in price comes at the step from Factory New to Minimal Wear.
Among Consumer Grade MAC-10 skins that carry a price in this wear, this one is second from the bottom: only MAC-10 | Bronzer costs less. The next, MAC-10 | Sienna Damask, costs more than twice as much, and MAC-10 | Strats several times as much. The top of the row is held by MAC-10 | Indigo, MAC-10 | Urban DDPAT and MAC-10 | Tornado.
Getting the MAC-10 | Storm Camo
No case holds the MAC-10 | Storm Camo. The Ascent Collection is on the Weekly Care Package list, so the MAC can drop from there.
A contract cannot produce the skin: Consumer Grade is the bottom rank of the collection, and nothing sits below it. The skin does go into contracts itself, though. Ten Consumer Grade skins return one Industrial Grade, and The Ascent Collection has nine of those, among them Zeus x27 | Electric Blue and Five-SeveN | Sky Blue.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the MAC-10 | Storm Camo was ever released. Souvenir copies turn up, but no packages existed for this finish: those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Storm Camo
The camouflage on this skin is blue, so white and yellow stickers contrast with it, while blue and light blue ones merge into the pattern.
Who this wear suits
Factory New makes sense for the MAC-10 | Storm Camo in three cases:
- you want blue camouflage without scuffs: the float stays under 0.07;
- you are putting together a set of Ascent skins, and the MAC should look neat;
- you need a clean base for stickers.
The other wears cost 1.5 to 1.6 times less, so the saving further down the scale is small.
