The MAG-7 | Copper Oxide in Factory New (FN) is a finish without a single trace of wear: a light body with copper parts. This wear runs from 0.00 to 0.07. It is Consumer Grade and belongs to The Boreal Collection. The finish comes in five wears, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, and you can buy the MAG-7 for CS2 in any of them.
What the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide looks like in Factory New
The finish is single-tone, with no lettering or pattern. The body and forend are painted a pale gray-green, while the barrel, top rail, grip and rivets are copper-brown. That makes the shotgun read as a two-tone object: cool panels and warm metal.
In Factory New the paint lies even and the copper parts are untouched by wear. In this wear the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide sits in a narrow 0.00 to 0.07 band, and copies hardly differ from one another. The band takes up 11% of the 0.00 to 0.65 scale.
Where the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide came from
The skin is part of The Boreal Collection. Valve added that collection on March 31, 2025 to the weekly reward list for playtime, alongside two other new sets. By rank the finish is the lowest in the collection, since Consumer Grade has nothing beneath it.
What to check before buying
A few points are worth checking before you buy the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide:
- the float: the closer to 0.00, the cleaner the metal and paint;
- any marks on the copper of the barrel and grip;
- whatever stickers and name tag are already on this copy of the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide.
The artwork on the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide is applied identically across the whole run. The only things to choose by are the float and the name tag or stickers.
What the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide costs in Factory New
Factory New is the cheapest wear of the finish. Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred all cost more than it by the same amount, about a tenth, and barely differ among themselves. Here the price hardly depends on wear at all.
Among Consumer Grade MAG-7s in this wear, the finish is the cheapest. Above it stand MAG-7 | Rust Coat, MAG-7 | Navy Sheen, MAG-7 | Seabird and MAG-7 | Sand Dune.
Getting the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide
The MAG-7 | Copper Oxide does not turn up in CS2 cases. The Boreal Collection stands on the weekly reward list for playtime, and copies arrive from there.
A trade-up contract cannot assemble this finish, because Consumer Grade is the lowest rank in the set. As an input it works fine: ten Consumer Grade skins of The Boreal Collection give one of nine Industrial Grade skins.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The MAG-7 | Copper Oxide has no StatTrak version, and no souvenir packages were released for this finish.
Stickers and craft on the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide
The background is calm: a pale panel with no artwork does not argue with a sticker. Dark and saturated stickers show up well on the light body, and the copper-brown parts suit gold and warm designs.
Who this wear suits
Buying the MAG-7 | Copper Oxide in Factory New makes sense on these terms:
- you want a clean factory look rather than scuffed paint;
- price matters, since the other four wears cost only about a tenth more;
- the shotgun is headed for CS2 matches on the Counter-Terrorist side, because this model is available only to them.
