The MAG-7 | MAGnitude in Field-Tested (FT) sits mid-scale, where the red artwork still reads as a whole and the gray metal has already lost its even sheen. In this wear the MAG-7 | MAGnitude is allotted a float of 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Mil-Spec shotgun for the Counter-Terrorists only, and it belongs to The Genesis Collection.
What the MAG-7 | MAGnitude looks like in Field-Tested
The body is gray metal with red ring lines laid over it. They spread out from the bolt above the trigger guard like ripples from an impact and reach toward the barrel and the rear of the receiver. The top rail and muzzle brake are red as well, while the magazine and grip stay gray. Valve describes the design as a shockwave radiating from the bolt.
In Field-Tested the red rings are visible across the whole body, but the metal around them is no longer smooth. Scuffs run along the panel edges and the gray goes dull. It is on the gray that you can see where the paint has been rubbed away.
Search for the MAG-7 | MAGnitude by the number, not by the wear label: the 0.15 to 0.38 band is wide. It is 23% of the finish's scale, which runs to 1.00, so two listings under one label can look noticeably different.
What to check before buying
When choosing a MAG-7 | MAGnitude, pay attention to the following:
- float: the lower it is, the more intact the gray panels around the red rings;
- the rings around the bolt: they should read as whole, with no worn-away patches;
- the name tag and stickers this MAG-7 | MAGnitude already carries.
The MAG-7 | MAGnitude does not come in two different designs.
What the MAG-7 | MAGnitude costs in Field-Tested
The other wears, measured against this one:
- Factory New is priced at about four and a half times;
- Minimal Wear costs about a third more;
- Well-Worn is cheaper by more than one and a half times;
- Battle-Scarred costs about two fifths more.
The price order by wear is uneven here: Well-Worn is the cheapest of the five, and Battle-Scarred costs more than Field-Tested.
Among Mil-Spec MAG-7s the finish is the cheapest in this wear. Its nearest neighbors, the MAG-7 | Resupply and MAG-7 | Foresight, cost 1.2 to 1.3 times as much. The MAG-7 | Insomnia costs 1.4 times as much, and the MAG-7 | Heaven Guard almost three times. The top of the row is held by the MAG-7 | Hazard and MAG-7 | Counter Terrace.
Getting the MAG-7 | MAGnitude
Instead of a case, The Genesis Collection has a terminal, and in CS2 the MAG-7 | MAGnitude comes out of the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The skin appeared on September 16, 2025, when the collection was added to the game. It holds seventeen finishes by community authors.
A trade-up contract does not lead here. A contract returns a rank above what was put in, and Mil-Spec is the lowest rank of the Genesis set, so there is nothing to put in beneath it. The finish itself does work as an input: ten Mil-Spec skins return one Restricted. These are the Dual Berettas | Angel Eyes, M4A1-S | Liquidation, MAC-10 | Cat Fight, Nova | Ocular and UMP-45 | Continuum.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The MAG-7 | MAGnitude has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish; they were made only for the tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy can still be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why a lone Souvenir copy now and then turns up where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the MAG-7 | MAGnitude
The red rings make the background a busy one: red and orange stickers get lost on it, while black, white and cool blue ones read clearly. The calmest spots for a sticker are the gray areas of the body, where there is almost no red.
The design is the same on every copy, so the craft on the MAG-7 | MAGnitude comes down to sticker color alone. Cool tones work better against the red than warm ones.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested on the MAG-7 | MAGnitude is worth buying for these reasons:
- you want the most affordable Mil-Spec MAG-7 with a noticeable red design;
- it matters that the red rings read clearly, while perfectly clean metal is not required;
- you take the shotgun in CS2 for the CT side and want a color that shows in hand.
If the best condition is what you are after, look at Factory New: the price gap there is almost fivefold.
