MP5-SD | Focus (Field-Tested)

The MP5-SD | Focus in Field-Tested (FT) is a dark submachine gun with thin red accents and an integrated suppressor. Its rank is Mil-Spec, it belongs to the Genesis Collection, and the skin drops from the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The MP5-SD | Focus can be bought for CS2 in any wear, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

What the MP5-SD | Focus looks like in Field-Tested

Paint the color of blued metal covers the suppressor, the shroud and the body, while the muzzle face stays bright. Red appears only in details: a thin line runs along the suppressor shroud and along the receiver. Vertical orange lettering extends down the magazine.

This wear limits the MP5-SD | Focus to floats of 0.15 to 0.38. That band covers 23% of the skin's scale, which runs from 0.00 to 1.00. Wear is set when the skin drops, and a copy stays exactly as it dropped.

Where the MP5-SD | Focus came from

The finish was drawn by SerQ. He sent the Steam Workshop submission under the title "MP5 :|: Chroma" and posted it on September 30, 2024. He describes the skin as a chrome finish with the cold precision of machinery and bright red accents for contrast.

The MP5-SD | Focus appeared on September 16, 2025, when the Genesis Collection was added to the game. Valve's catalog number for the finish is 1344.

What to check before buying

A few points deserve a look before you buy the MP5-SD | Focus:

• the float: nearer 0.38, the paint on the edges is worn away more;

• the stickers and name tag already on this copy of the MP5-SD | Focus;

• the version: the StatTrak™ variant is a separate item with its own price.

The pattern of the MP5-SD | Focus repeats from listing to listing unchanged. Listings from 0.15 to 0.38 still differ noticeably in appearance.

What the MP5-SD | Focus costs in Field-Tested

The neighboring wears are spread as follows:

• Factory New is about five and a half times dearer;

• Minimal Wear is nearly twice as dear;

• Well-Worn sits about one and a half times lower;

• Battle-Scarred is almost level with this wear.

The three lowest wears differ by only a few cents. Among Mil-Spec MP5-SDs in this wear, the skin sits in the cheapest group alongside MP5-SD | Gold Leaf and MP5-SD | Co-Processor. The top of the row is held by MP5-SD | Acid Wash and MP5-SD | Condition Zero.

Getting the MP5-SD | Focus

The skin drops from the Sealed Genesis Terminal. A trade-up cannot produce it, because Mil-Spec is the lowest rank in the collection.

As an input it does work: ten Mil-Spec skins from the set yield one Restricted, for example M4A1-S | Liquidation or MAC-10 | Cat Fight.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The MP5-SD | Focus comes in a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, but no packages were ever released for it, because those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the MP5-SD | Focus

The dark base with its red line leaves plenty of clean space. White, yellow and light blue stickers read well on it, while red ones echo the accent but get lost on the line.

Who this wear suits

Buying the MP5-SD | Focus in Field-Tested is reasonable in these cases:

• you want a dark submachine gun with a modest red accent;

• you want a price close to Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with more even paint;

• you are putting together a graphite-toned set for CS2.
