The MP7 | Just Smile in Field-Tested (FT) is a Restricted submachine gun from The Kilowatt Collection, open to both sides in CS2. The skin drops from the Kilowatt Case. This wear takes up 23% of the skin's scale, which runs from 0.00 to 1.00.
What the MP7 | Just Smile looks like in Field-Tested
According to Valve, the base of the finish is blue-violet, with a smiling smiley face and a yellow "Just Smile" inscription on top. The name of the finish repeats that inscription.
The scale for this wear on the MP7 | Just Smile sits between 0.15 and 0.38. Once the skin has dropped, the wear of a copy stays as it was. In this wear the MP7 | Just Smile is a band from 0.15 to 0.38, and listings from the two edges look different.
Where the MP7 | Just Smile came from
The skin came out in February 2024 together with the Kilowatt Case. In the update note Valve wrote about seventeen finishes by community authors and named the Kukri knife as the case's rare item.
What to check before buying
Before buying an MP7 | Just Smile, check a few points:
- float: the 0.15 to 0.38 band lies between Minimal Wear and Well-Worn, and a listing may sit at either edge;
- stickers and a name tag already applied to that copy of the MP7 | Just Smile.
The MP7 | Just Smile does not exist in two different designs.
What the MP7 | Just Smile costs in Field-Tested
The other wears, measured against this one:
- Factory New costs about 6.6 times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs about double;
- Well-Worn costs a few percent more;
- Battle-Scarred is level.
Among Restricted MP7s with a price in this wear, the skin is the cheapest of seven. The one nearest to it in price, the MP7 | Amberline, costs more than twice as much, and the top of the row is the MP7 | Fade.
Getting the MP7 | Just Smile
The finish has one case: the Kilowatt Case.
To trade up into the MP7 | Just Smile, you need ten skins one rank lower from this set. The Kilowatt Collection has five Restricted finishes, so the odds are one in five.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The MP7 | Just Smile has a StatTrak version. Souvenir packages were never released for this finish, since they were made only for the tournament map collections. You can still assemble a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from the inventory. So an odd Souvenir copy now and then appears even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the MP7 | Just Smile
The smiley and the yellow inscription stay as they were beneath stickers, since a sticker lies on top. The design is the same on every copy, so copies are told apart by float and by what has been applied.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested on the MP7 | Just Smile is a sensible buy if:
- you want a submachine gun for CS2 with a blue-violet base and a yellow inscription;
- Factory New costs about 6.6 times as much, and paying extra for cleanliness is not on your list;
- the price gap to Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred is practically nil, and the wear is acceptable.
