In Factory New (FN) the MP7 | Short Ochre is the cheapest of its five grades: every worn one asks more. The float band here runs from 0.00 to 0.07. The rank is Consumer Grade, and the submachine gun belongs to The Radiant Collection.
What the MP7 | Short Ochre looks like in Factory New
The body is sandy beige, close to khaki, while the magazine, the sliding stock and the front grip are a saturated orange yellow. Rail and barrel are black. There is no artwork at all: the colors are divided part by part, and the contrast of two tones carries the finish. Small orange service lettering runs across the body, and factory markings show on the stock.
In Factory New the orange parts hold an even edge and the beige body is clean. Lower down the scale the orange gives way before the beige, and the bottom of the magazine and the butt of the stock go first. Between 0.00 and 0.07 nothing about the look changes.
Where the MP7 | Short Ochre came from
Valve drew the finish, and no Workshop submission stands behind it. The Radiant Collection entered the game on March 31, 2025, and Valve's catalog numbers the artwork 1326. The update note for that day added three sets to the weekly care packages at once, bringing in more than seventy finishes together.
What to check before buying
Worth checking before paying for a copy:
- the float inside 0.00 to 0.07, with an even edge expected on the magazine;
- that the wear scale ends at 0.75, which cuts Battle-Scarred short on this finish;
- stickers from a previous owner and a rename on the submachine gun.
The pattern is fixed, so nothing in the price depends on how it fell.
What the MP7 | Short Ochre costs in Factory New
Measured against this grade, the rest stand like this:
- Minimal Wear is dearer by two and a quarter times;
- Field-Tested is twice as much;
- Well-Worn is dearer by two thirds;
- Battle-Scarred is dearer by two thirds as well.
The usual order is upside down here: the clean grade asks less than any scuffed one. The sums are tiny and the steps between grades are counted in cents, so this is not a pattern to read anything into.
Among Consumer Grade MP7s this is the cheapest copy in Factory New, with all seven others above it. MP7 | Army Recon is the nearest of them, at roughly five times the price. MP7 | Prey and MP7 | Asterion sit tens of times higher, and MP7 | Scorched and MP7 | Olive Plaid more than a hundred times above.
Getting the MP7 | Short Ochre
This finish has never been packed into a case. The Radiant Collection comes from the weekly care packages earned with playtime, and that is where the submachine gun arrives from.
A contract will not produce it either, since nothing sits below Consumer Grade in the set. As an input it works: ten Consumer Grade skins from one collection return a single Industrial Grade item out of that same set.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the MP7 | Short Ochre
No StatTrak version of the MP7 | Short Ochre was ever released. Souvenir copies do turn up, but no Souvenir packages were made for this finish: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.
With a flat, artwork-free background the sticker becomes the main event. The beige body takes dark and cool colors, and on the orange parts only dark ones stay readable. Flat space for a craft sits on the body under the rail and on the side of the magazine. In Factory New the paint under a sticker is whole, so the craft reads cleanly.
Who this wear suits
Factory New pays off on this submachine gun when:
- the finish is wanted for the least outlay, as every scuffed grade asks more;
- the gun is bought as a craft base, and a flat background holds stickers well;
- a bright small thing is wanted in a CS2 inventory without noticeable spending.
The grades barely differ in play, because there is nothing on this finish to tear. All of the wear shows along the edges of the orange parts.
