Field-Tested (FT) is the working wear for the MP7 | Smoking Kills: the artwork reads whole, and there is no premium for a clean float. The wear covers float from 0.15 to 0.38. Classified rank, from The Genesis Collection. An illustration on a submachine gun is a rarity in CS2: subjects like this usually go to rifles.
What the MP7 | Smoking Kills looks like in Field-Tested
The body shows a girl in glasses with a cigarette, surrounded by colored panels and lettering. The artwork is large and fills the whole left side of the receiver. In FT, wear settles on the edges and the stock while the illustration itself stays intact. That is a trait of illustrated skins: the graphic sits in the center of the body, where wear arrives last. Toward the top of the range the colors mute a little, but the subject is not lost.
What to check before buying
Choosing the MP7 | Smoking Kills comes down to two things:
- float: closer to 0.38 the colored panels visibly dull;
- stickers on the listing and an applied name tag.
Pattern does not come into play here. Every copy carries the same artwork, so float is the only parameter left to choose by.
Two listings picked at random from 0.15 to 0.38 will look alike only by chance.
What the MP7 | Smoking Kills costs in Field-Tested
Here is how the MP7 | Smoking Kills spreads across wears:
- Factory New costs about four times more;
- Minimal Wear about twice as much;
- Well-Worn sheds about a third of the price;
- Battle-Scarred costs about one and a half times less.
Going down, the saving is small, and the artwork is already muted there. Going up, the gap is sharp, and people pay it mostly for a craft.
Getting the MP7 | Smoking Kills
The MP7 | Smoking Kills comes out of the Sealed Genesis Terminal, the only case with this skin. The Genesis Collection, which the skin belongs to, was released on September 16, 2025.
A trade-up contract is another way to get it, and for this MP7 it is simple: ten Restricted skins give one Classified skin. To land this submachine gun you put in ten Restricted skins from the collection, for example Dual Berettas | Angel Eyes, MAC-10 | Cat Fight or Nova | Ocular. The collection has three such Classified skins and the contract returns a random one, so the chance of getting the MP7 is one in three.
One step up, ten Classified skins give one Covert skin: AK-47 | The Oligarch or M4A4 | Full Throttle. But of the three Classified skins the Glock-18 | Mirror Mosaic is the cheapest, so that Glock, not the MP7, is what usually goes into the trade.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the MP7 | Smoking Kills
A StatTrak version of the MP7 | Smoking Kills exists. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish: they were made only for the tournament map collections. But you can build a Souvenir copy yourself — the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why the odd Souvenir copy turns up now and then even where no packages ever existed.
The artwork already occupies the body, so there is not much free room for stickers. If you apply any, keep them small and off to the side of the illustration, or the subject breaks up. Plain black and white ones work well, since they do not argue with the colored panels. Bright holographic ones turn to mush on a background like this.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested is worth choosing for the MP7 | Smoking Kills when:
- you want an inexpensive force-buy slot with a visible design;
- you like illustrated graphics more than an abstract fill;
- you are building a set where the submachine gun should not stand out on price.
The downside is obvious: the MP7 rarely ends up in your hands, mostly on eco rounds, so you will be admiring the artwork in your inventory. Still, the entry into the Classified rank here is one of the cheapest in CS2.
