MP9 | Food Chain (Minimal Wear)

The MP9 | Food Chain in Minimal Wear (MW) is a loud painted design full of monsters, with wear only beginning to show. The wear's band lies between 0.07 and 0.15, which is 8 percent of the finish's own scale from 0.00 to 1.00. It is a Classified skin of The Snakebite Collection.

What the MP9 | Food Chain looks like in Minimal Wear

The base is dark, nearly black, with dense, bright painting over it. On the top of the body is a green creature with tentacles, and along the side and the magazine there is an orange scaly maw with teeth. The front grip is built from blue, purple and red blocks, and the stock is red with a pink edge.

The artwork covers nearly the whole surface. In Minimal Wear the wear therefore shows only on the edges of the body and the ends of the magazine, where paint lightens first. The main painting stays whole.

Where the MP9 | Food Chain came from

The Snakebite Collection came into the game on May 4, 2021, and the MP9 | Food Chain has stood in it from the first day. Valve describes the finish as a bright painting of a food chain made of monsters, and adds the motto "eat or be eaten".

What to check before buying

What matters when you choose an MP9 | Food Chain listing:

• float: at 0.07 the paint is closer to factory condition, and at 0.15 there are more marks on the edges;

• the edges of the body and the ends of the magazine, where wear shows first;

• stickers and a name tag already on this MP9 | Food Chain.

Every copy carries the same artwork, so no particular one needs hunting down. Within 0.07 to 0.15 there is no best copy to find, either.

What the MP9 | Food Chain costs in Minimal Wear

Compared with Minimal Wear, the other four wears sit as follows:

• Factory New is 2.35 times as expensive;

• Field-Tested is cheaper by a factor of 1.8;

• Well-Worn is cheaper by almost half;

• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a factor of 2.1.

Of the five Classified MP9 skins in this wear, it is the cheapest. Above it by price come MP9 | Hydra and MP9 | Airlock, then Latte Rush, while MP9 | Wild Lily is out of all proportion dearer than the rest.

Getting the MP9 | Food Chain

The skin drops from the Snakebite Case in CS2. A trade-up contract for the MP9 | Food Chain takes ten skins one rank lower from this collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The MP9 | Food Chain has a StatTrak version, and no Souvenir packages were issued for this finish.

Stickers and craft on the MP9 | Food Chain

The painting takes up almost the whole surface and leaves few free areas: dark background remains between the figures on the body and around the magazine. The bright blocks on the front grip and the orange maw set the color that stickers have to be matched to.

Who this wear suits

Buying the MP9 | Food Chain in this particular wear makes sense when:

• you want an MP9 for CS2 with bright painting where the paint is still nearly whole;

• you need to save, since Factory New costs more than twice as much;

• the Classified rank from The Snakebite Collection matters to you.

If you want factory paint without a single mark, only Factory New will do.
