Negev | Sour Grapes (Well-Worn)

The Negev | Sour Grapes in Well-Worn (WW) shows heavy wear, in a narrow band at the border with Battle-Scarred. This wear takes the 0.38 to 0.45 slice of the float scale. It is an Industrial Grade skin from The Ascent Collection, and the finish exists in all five wears.

What the Negev | Sour Grapes looks like in Well-Worn

The finish is a single solid color: the receiver, barrel and stock are painted in different shades of dark purple, with no lettering and no pattern. Only the box with the belt and the box's sleeve stay gray.

In Well-Worn the wear shows on this paint. On a solid dark field, scuffs read at once as bare, light metal. At 0.38 to 0.45 the band is so tight that telling one lot from another is hard.

Where the Negev | Sour Grapes came from

The finish belongs to The Ascent Collection. Valve added the collection on March 31, 2025, to the pool of the weekly reward for time played, along with two other new sets.

• the float: inside 0.38 to 0.45, lots differ by just a few hundredths;


• how the scuffs are spread over the receiver and barrel;


• the stickers and name tag already on this copy of the Negev | Sour Grapes.

The pattern index changes nothing for this skin: the finish has no artwork, and the color is the same on every copy.

What the Negev | Sour Grapes costs in Well-Worn

The Negev | Sour Grapes does not come from any case. The Ascent Collection is in the pool of the weekly reward for time played, and copies arrive from there.

The second route to the skin is a trade-up: hand in ten skins of the rank below from the same collection. Those are ten Consumer Grade skins, and the odds of landing this one are one in nine.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of the Negev | Sour Grapes was ever issued. There were no Souvenir sets for this finish either, since they existed only for tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy can still be put together by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from your inventory. So single Souvenir copies occasionally appear even where no sets ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the Negev | Sour Grapes

The background is one flat color, so a sticker is the only artwork on the machine gun. Light and yellow stickers stand out on the dark purple of the receiver, while purple and black ones sink into it.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Negev | Sour Grapes specifically in Well-Worn makes sense in these cases:

• you want a dark machine gun with plainly visible wear rather than untouched paint;


• the loadout is built around purple, and artwork on the weapon would get in the way;


• the Negev goes into CS2 matches, where nobody studies scuffs up close.

If you do not need the wear, Field-Tested is cheaper: the difference there is almost eight times.
