Well-Worn (WW) on the Nova | Ocular covers floats from 0.38 to 0.45, which is 7% of the scale. The skin is Restricted and drops from the Sealed Genesis Terminal. In Well-Worn this shotgun is third from the bottom of nine Restricted Novas.
What the Nova | Ocular looks like in Well-Worn
The base is dark blue-teal, with cream-beige fields laid across it and outlined in rusty orange. The shapes resemble stylized faces with oval light-gray eyes and a dark pupil; which animal they stand for cannot be guessed. The forend is cream with teal, the stock blue. There are four eyes in all: one on the receiver, one on the forend and a pair on the stock. The muzzle and the trigger stay bare dark metal.
In Well-Worn the thin orange outlines and the cream ridges along the edges are already scuffed. The large eyes on the flat side of the stock stay legible longest. The wear was fixed at the drop.
Where the Nova | Ocular came from
Kattys drew the finish. In the Steam Workshop the submission was titled "Nova | Ocular (blue)" and went up on February 19, 2025. The author calls the work a modern design inspired by abstract surrealism and the art of the twentieth century. On September 16, 2025, the Genesis update opened The Genesis Collection, and the Nova | Ocular was part of the opening lineup. Valve's catalog lists the finish as number 1350.
What to check before buying
Check these on a Nova | Ocular listing:
- a float anywhere in the 0.38 to 0.45 stretch;
- the state of the orange outlines on the forend and stock;
- stickers from a previous owner, and any rename of the Nova | Ocular.
The float sits in a slice of 0.38 to 0.45, so copies look alike. One artwork covers every copy, and there is no special one to hunt for.
What the Nova | Ocular costs in Well-Worn
Factory New costs more than six times as much, and Minimal Wear more than twice as much. Field-Tested is barely different, a few percent dearer at most, while Battle-Scarred is cheaper by almost a quarter.
In a row of nine Restricted Novas, this finish costs more than two: Nova | Wild Six and Nova | Rising Sun. Above it come Nova | Toy Soldier, Nova | Clear Polymer and Nova | Smart Gun. At the top of the row are Nova | Sobek's Bite, Nova | Rising Skull and Nova | Baroque Orange.
Getting the Nova | Ocular
The Sealed Genesis Terminal is the source. A trade-up is the other route: ten Mil-Spec skins go in from anywhere, and the result comes from the collection of one of the inputs. A ten made up entirely of Genesis skins steers the outcome, at one chance in five. Whether to do so is up to the player.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Nova | Ocular has a StatTrak version. There is no Souvenir version of this finish.
Stickers and craft on the Nova | Ocular
The cream areas of the forend and stock are lighter than the rest of the body, and dark stickers read well on them. The eyes next to a sticker compete with it for attention. In CS2 a craft on Well-Worn loses some of its cleanness, since the edges are already rubbed.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn on the Nova | Ocular is worth buying when:
- you want a Restricted shotgun priced just above the bottom of the row;
- the eyes on the side of the stock matter more than the outlines;
- the skin is going into a CS2 trade-up as an input.
