Nova | Wood Fired (Minimal Wear)

The Nova | Wood Fired in Minimal Wear (MW) has a float band from 0.07 to 0.15, 11% of the skin's scale. It is a Mil-Spec shotgun from The Danger Zone Collection, and it drops from the Danger Zone Case.

What the Nova | Wood Fired looks like in Minimal Wear

The base is mustard yellow with a greenish cast, and over it lie dark green and black streaks that look like charred wood. The pattern recalls wood fibers or plumes of smoke. The barrel is dark blue, blued steel.

The streaks cover the receiver, forend, grip and stock. The barrel and magazine tube stay clean dark metal. There is a small inscription on the side of the receiver that cannot be read, and the grip has transverse ribs.

In Minimal Wear, light scuffs show along the edges of the stock and forend. The pattern looks faded in places.

Where the Nova | Wood Fired came from

The Danger Zone Collection was added to the game on December 7, 2018, and the Nova | Wood Fired appeared in the same update. Valve wrote then that the Danger Zone Case holds seventeen finishes from community authors.

What to check before buying

Listings of the Nova | Wood Fired are compared on two points:

• float: you can buy almost blind, since the band of 0.07 to 0.15 is tight;

• whether the Nova | Wood Fired has stickers and a name tag on it.

The Nova | Wood Fired has no pattern variants, so there is nothing to choose by.

What the Nova | Wood Fired costs in Minimal Wear

For this skin Minimal Wear costs more than every other wear:

• Factory New is cheaper by 1.5 times;

• Field-Tested is cheaper by 3.2 times;

• Well-Worn is cheaper by almost half;

• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by 3.5 times.

Of the fourteen Mil-Spec Nova skins, this one stands in the middle: six are cheaper and seven are more expensive. The nearest cheaper ones are the Nova | Ranger, Nova | Wurst Hölle and Nova | Yorkshire, at about half the price. Higher up stand the Nova | Quick Sand, Nova | Blaze Orange and Nova | Modern Hunter.

Getting the Nova | Wood Fired

The skin drops from the Danger Zone Case. A contract does not lead to the Nova | Wood Fired: there is nothing below Mil-Spec in the set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Nova | Wood Fired has a StatTrak version and no ready-made souvenir packages, but a Souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the Nova | Wood Fired

The dark streaks over the yellow base are busy, and in CS2 stickers with a large contrasting silhouette work better. The clean dark barrel and magazine tube suit light stickers. Fine detail gets lost on the streaks.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Nova | Wood Fired in Minimal Wear is right if at least one of these fits:

• you want a shotgun for CS2 with charred wood and dark streaks;

• light scuffs on the edges without chips matter;

• the middle of the price row among Mil-Spec Nova skins suits you.
