Operation Hydra Case

The Operation Hydra Case is a Base Grade CS2 case with seventeen skins. Its rare special items are gloves of six models, not knives.

What's in the Operation Hydra Case

Of the seventeen skins in the Operation Hydra Case, seven are Mil-Spec, five Restricted, three Classified and two Covert. The top of the set is Five-SeveN | Hyper Beast and AWP | Oni Taiji.

The Classified skins are Dual Berettas | Cobra Strike, Galil AR | Sugar Rush and M4A4 | Hellfire. The Restricted ones are AK-47 | Orbit Mk01, P2000 | Woodsman, P250 | Red Rock, P90 | Death Grip and SSG 08 | Death's Head.

Which gloves drop from the Operation Hydra Case

The models are Bloodhound Gloves, Driver Gloves, Hand Wraps, Moto Gloves, Specialist Gloves and Sport Gloves. There are twenty-four skins in all, among them Crimson Kimono, Hedge Maze, Superconductor, Pandora's Box, Emerald Web and Bronzed.

What actually drops, whether model, skin or wear, is down to chance, and none of it can be chosen.

Do you need a key

Yes: opening the Operation Hydra Case takes a key, which is bought in the game. Since October 2019 a key can't be transferred between accounts or sold on marketplaces, so on LIS-SKINS you buy the case, and the key is obtained separately.

Opening remains a matter of choice. The gloves you want, or a skin from the set, can be bought as a finished item, which is more dependable than counting on luck.

What the Operation Hydra Case costs

In the price order of cases, the Operation Hydra Case is fourth from the top. Above it are the eSports 2013 Case (about 1.7 times as much), the Operation Bravo Case (about 2.3 times) and the CS:GO Weapon Case (about four times).

Below it come the Glove Case, the eSports 2013 Winter Case and the eSports 2014 Summer Case: each costs less than the Hydra, by a factor of 2.3 to 2.6.

Who it suits

The Operation Hydra Case is worth buying if:

• you want a shot at Bloodhound Gloves or Moto Gloves;

• you are interested in Five-SeveN | Hyper Beast and AWP | Oni Taiji;

• you need a case that sits above most of the others but not at the very top.
