The P250 | Asiimov in Field-Tested (FT) sits mid-scale on a pistol that has no Factory New at all. Copies of this wear carry a float between 0.15 and 0.38. The rank is Classified, and the skin drops from the Chroma 3 Case.
What the P250 | Asiimov looks like in Field-Tested
The pistol is built from white, orange and dark tones. The slide is white on top, with brown-gray panels along the sides, and an angular emblem in an orange frame sits on them. An orange ring is fitted over the muzzle, and orange stripes run along the slide and across the grip, front and back. The grip is dark, the lower part of the frame white. Valve's description calls the design science-fiction.
In Field-Tested the white turns gray along the top of the slide and on the frame above the trigger guard. The narrow orange stripes dull earlier than anything else, while the dark panels hide wear well.
What to check before buying
Three things set one P250 | Asiimov listing apart from the next:
- the float: at 0.15 the white is cleaner, at 0.38 the gray shows across the whole frame;
- the brightness of the orange stripes and of the ring on the muzzle;
- the stickers and name tag already on that copy of the P250 | Asiimov.
The artwork does not vary on this pistol, so every copy is the same. The stretch from 0.15 to 0.38 is long, though, and copies at its two ends look noticeably different.
What the P250 | Asiimov costs in Field-Tested
The finish exists in four wears, and Factory New is not among them: the scale starts at 0.10, which leaves Minimal Wear as the top grade. The ratios run like this:
- Minimal Wear costs more than twice as much;
- Well-Worn costs the same;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a few percent.
The Field-Tested band takes a quarter of the finish's scale, and the top grade only about six percent.
Among Classified P250 skins in this wear, the finish stands sixth of ten from the bottom. P250 | Cartel is cheaper, and P250 | Kintsugi, P250 | Visions and P250 | Franklin are cheaper by a wider margin. Above it come P250 | Muertos, P250 | Mehndi, P250 | Undertow and P250 | Apep's Curse, which costs more than three times as much.
Getting the P250 | Asiimov
The P250 | Asiimov drops from the Chroma 3 Case, and no other case carries this finish.
Besides the case, a trade-up of ten skins one step down from the same collection leads to it. The collection holds five Restricted skins and three Classified, so the odds are one in three. Ten Classified skins return one Covert: PP-Bizon | Judgement of Anubis or M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The P250 | Asiimov has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the P250 | Asiimov
The pistol offers three backgrounds: the white frame, the dark grip and the brown-gray panels on the slide. Light stickers read on the dark, dark ones on the white, and orange stickers compete with the stripes in the paint. For a craft in CS2 it is better to leave the emblem on the slide uncovered, as it is the main mark on that panel.
Who this wear suits
The P250 | Asiimov in Field-Tested makes sense if:
- you want a white pistol in the recognizable orange scheme for CS2;
- paying twice as much for Minimal Wear does not appeal;
- you need the P250 in a loadout for either side, since it is open to both terrorists and counter-terrorists.
If a clean white frame matters most, look at Minimal Wear: gray appears only along the edges there, but it costs more than double.
