The SCAR-20 | Caged in Factory New (FN) is a gray sniper rifle with a blue-violet insert along the top of the body. It is a Mil-Spec skin from The Genesis Collection and comes out of the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The SCAR-20 | Caged can be bought in all five wears, for CS2.
What the SCAR-20 | Caged looks like in Factory New
The main mass of the body is gray, with the color concentrated in a single stripe. Along the top of the receiver and the forend run angular blue-teal and violet patches on a dark background, like camouflage. The scope lens glows teal, and the butt of the stock repeats the same blue-pink gradient.
In this wear the float scale of the SCAR-20 | Caged lies between 0.00 and 0.07. That is 7% of the skin's scale, which runs from 0.00 to 1.00. In Factory New the paint is virtually untouched, and the wear is fixed at drop and does not change.
Where the SCAR-20 | Caged came from
The finish was made by -AVR-. The author titled the Steam Workshop submission "SCAR-20 | Caged |V4|" and posted it on June 15, 2025. The submission says nothing about the idea behind the design.
The SCAR-20 | Caged arrived on September 16, 2025, when The Genesis Collection was added to the game. Valve's catalog number for the finish is 1343.
What to check before buying
These things set one SCAR-20 | Caged listing apart from another:
- float: in Factory New it lies strictly within 0.00 to 0.07;
- stickers and name tag already on this SCAR-20 | Caged;
- version: the regular listing and the StatTrak™ variant are separate products.
The SCAR-20 | Caged has a fixed pattern, and its price does not depend on pattern. The band of 0.00 to 0.07 is short, and differences between listings fall within the margin of error.
What the SCAR-20 | Caged costs in Factory New
This is the top wear, and the others cost less:
- Minimal Wear is a little over three times cheaper;
- Field-Tested is more than seven times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is cheaper by roughly three and a half times;
- Battle-Scarred costs the same as Well-Worn.
Among Mil-Spec SCAR-20 skins, this one sits in the middle of the row. Blueprint and Grotto run slightly higher, while Outbreak and Trail Blazer are cheaper. The top of the row is far off: Brass costs hundreds of times as much.
Getting the SCAR-20 | Caged
Its source is the Sealed Genesis Terminal. A trade-up cannot produce it: a contract returns a rank above the one fed in, and Mil-Spec is the lowest rank in the collection.
As an input it works well: ten Mil-Spec skins from the set yield one Restricted skin, for example Dual Berettas | Angel Eyes or Nova | Ocular.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The SCAR-20 | Caged has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish exist as well, though no packages were released for it, since packages were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which attaches gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the SCAR-20 | Caged
The gray base leaves plenty of free room, and the color is gathered into one stripe. White, yellow and orange stickers read well on it, while blue and violet ones merge into the stripe.
Who this wear suits
The SCAR-20 | Caged in Factory New makes sense when:
- you want undamaged paint rather than edges rubbed thin;
- you want a sniper skin for CS2 with its color in one stripe rather than across the whole body;
- you are building a set in a blue-violet palette.
