SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist (Factory New)

The SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist in Factory New (FN) is the clean end of the scale, where the spray-paint artwork has no scuffs on it. Its float band in this wear is 0.00 to 0.07. It is a Mil-Spec rank sniper rifle, a Counter-Terrorist weapon from the Dreams & Nightmares Collection.

What the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist looks like in Factory New

Nearly the whole weapon, barrel aside, is covered in a thick, motley scatter: pink, crimson, violet and gold crawl over one another. The magazine and stock are gray-lilac, and the scope housing is pink. Valve explains that this is spray-paint art: chickens on a battlefield, one of them riding into combat on a shark.

In Factory New the paint lies thick, the gold strokes are not blurred, and the gray-lilac parts have no pale bald spots. Only in this clean state does it become clear that the finish is built on density of color, not on outline.

In this wear the skin covers a narrow band, 0.00 to 0.07, and copies hardly differ from each other. That is 12% of the finish's scale, whose ceiling is 0.57.

What to check before buying

Before paying for the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist, it is worth checking:

• float: on a narrow stretch the difference is small, but the closer to 0.00, the cleaner the paint;

• the gold strokes and pink fields on the receiver, where scuffs show first;

• any name tag and stickers, which the listing carries along.

No lucky pattern can be hunted on this skin, because it is always the same.

What the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist costs in Factory New

Set against this wear, the rest of the ladder reads:

• Minimal Wear sits about a third lower;

• Field-Tested costs a few percent more;

• Well-Worn costs a few percent more;

• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a quarter.

The order is uneven: Factory New is not the priciest wear, and Field-Tested and Well-Worn edge slightly past it.

Among Mil-Spec SCAR-20 skins, this finish is the cheapest in Factory New. SCAR-20 | Jungle Slipstream and SCAR-20 | Fragments cost about one and a half times more. SCAR-20 | Outbreak is a little over twice, and SCAR-20 | Trail Blazer almost three times. At the upper edge stand SCAR-20 | Magna Carta, SCAR-20 | Crimson Web and SCAR-20 | Brass.

Getting the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist

The rifle drops from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and no other CS2 case carries this finish. The set opened on January 21, 2022, and the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist has been listed in it from day one. Valve's note describes the case as seventeen finishes picked from the Steam Workshop.

This skin cannot be built by contract, because beneath Mil-Spec the collection has no skins of a lower rank. The finish does work well as an input, though: ten Mil-Spec skins yield one Restricted one. That is PP-Bizon | Space Cat, G3SG1 | Dream Glade, M4A1-S | Night Terror, USP-S | Ticket to Hell or XM1014 | Zombie Offensive.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist is available with StatTrak. There were no Souvenir packages for this finish, as those were produced only for tournament map collections. Even so, you can put a Souvenir copy together on your own: the Souvenir-O-Matic fits gold tournament stickers and a player autograph onto an ordinary skin in your inventory. For that reason a lone Souvenir copy occasionally appears where no package ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist

The motley scatter leaves no clean areas, so a sticker always lands on artwork. Dark and white ones read best, while pink and gold ones merge with the paint.

The spray-paint artwork is identical on every copy, so a craft here is built on contrast: cool blue and graphite stickers stand apart from the warm scatter.

Who this wear suits

Buying the SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist here, in Factory New, makes sense under these conditions:

• you want the most affordable Mil-Spec SCAR-20 with clean paint;

• you want a motley finish where color matters more than a strict drawing;

• in CS2 a Counter-Terrorist sniper rifle should stand out rather than hide in gray.

Field-Tested and Well-Worn are priced higher, so a clean body carries no premium over them.
