Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore in Field-Tested (FT) is the rare case of a tournament item selling for less than the plain one. Covert rank. The finish reached viewers through Cobblestone souvenir packages, so every copy carries team stickers and a player autograph.
What the Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore looks like in Field-Tested
Olive green and gold run across all three large parts: receiver, handguard and stock. The dragon lies on the flat side panel with a yellow glow tracing its outline, and the head, the open jaws and the coils of the body all read clearly. The stock carries a beige panel with a pale ornament, while the bipod and the top of the scope stay olive and gold.
In Field-Tested the gilding has already left the raised edges. The top of the receiver, the lip of the handguard, the buttplate and the rings on the barrel all lighten. Fine scalework goes before the big figure does, so the barrel loses its pattern first. Between 0.15 and 0.38 there is enough difference to be worth comparing several listings.
Where the Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore came from
No Steam Workshop artist stands behind this finish. Valve drew it, and the catalog of finishes lists it as number 344. The Cobblestone collection went live on July 1, 2014. Packages for that map were handed out from 2014 through 2018, ten in all, from ESL One Cologne 2014 to Boston 2018.
What to check before buying
A Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore listing varies in these ways:
- float: 0.15 to 0.38, with the barrel rings paling at the top;
- the tournament stickers, and any name tag a previous owner applied;
- which tournament the package came from, since that fixes both the team logos and whose autograph you get.
The artwork is identical on every copy, so the choice comes down to float and to the sticker set.
What the Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore costs in Field-Tested
The cleaner wears of the souvenir release sit above it:
- Factory New costs close to twice as much;
- Minimal Wear about a third more.
There is no souvenir premium here at all — the tournament copy runs a couple of percent under the plain one. The team logos and the autograph add nothing to the price in this wear.
Among Covert AWPs in Field-Tested this release is the dearest of the lot. AWP | Desert Hydra comes in some seven and a half times lower, AWP | Asiimov twenty times, AWP | Neo-Noir thirty-three.
Getting the Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore
Cases have nothing to do with it. Tournament copies came out of Cobblestone souvenir packages, and the trade-up contract is out as well, since no contract produces a souvenir item.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A souvenir item never carries a kill counter, so the StatTrak version does not apply here. For a copy without tournament stickers, go to the page for the plain AWP | Dragon Lore.
Stickers and craft on the Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore
The sticker set is fixed by the tournament and never changes. The team logos and the player autograph stay on the rifle for good. In Field-Tested pale edges appear alongside them, and that contrast belongs to the look rather than spoiling it. No room is left for a craft of your own, since the artwork covers nearly all the metal.
Who this wear suits
Buy the Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore in this wear if:
- you want a tournament copy without paying extra for a clean body;
- the dragon reading whole matters more than gold on the barrel rings;
- the rifle will come out of the inventory in CS2 rather than sit in a showcase.
