SSG 08 | Calligrafaux in Field-Tested (FT): a red Scout with fine dark hatching across the paint. The rank is Industrial Grade and the collection is the Harlequin Collection. For CS2 it can be bought in all five wears, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.
What the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux looks like in Field-Tested
The receiver, forend, grip, stock and scope body are painted a saturated red. Dense dark hatching runs over the paint like brush strokes. There are no legible characters on the body, only the pattern of the strokes itself.
The barrel, muzzle brake and bipod stay gray metal. The float for this wear is 0.15 to 0.38. That is 23% of the skin's scale, which runs from 0.00 to 1.00, and wear is fixed at the drop.
Where the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux came from
The finish's author is Valve, so there is no Steam Workshop submission for it. The Harlequin Collection was released on January 21, 2026, and the skin has been part of it since launch. Its catalog number at Valve is 1379.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular SSG 08 | Calligrafaux comes down to these points:
- float: nearer 0.38, more of the red paint has come off the edges;
- the name tag and stickers this SSG 08 | Calligrafaux already carries;
- version: a regular listing and a Souvenir one are different items.
The SSG 08 | Calligrafaux has no pattern variants, so there is nothing to choose by there. In this wear the band is 0.15 to 0.38, and listings from the two ends of the stretch look different.
What the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux costs in Field-Tested
Against the other wears, the price runs like this:
- Factory New asks about three and a half times the price;
- Minimal Wear costs almost the same as this wear;
- Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred also stay close.
The four lower wears differ by a few cents. Among Industrial Grade Scouts the skin sits in the middle of the row. SSG 08 | Azure Glyph, Halftone Whorl and Tiger Tear are cheaper. Mayan Dreams and Tropical Storm cost tens of times more.
Getting the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux
No CS2 case contains the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux. The Harlequin Collection is on the weekly reward list, and the skin reaches the inventory from there.
A contract for the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux takes ten skins one step lower, all from one collection. The Harlequin Collection has five Industrial Grade skins, and the chance on this Scout is one in five.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux was ever released. Souvenir copies exist, but there were no packages for this finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux
A red base with dense hatching makes a noisy background. White and yellow stickers read well on it, black ones keep their shape, and red and orange ones merge into the paint.
Who this wear suits
Buying the SSG 08 | Calligrafaux in this wear makes sense if:
- you want a bright red Scout for CS2 at a price close to the lower wears;
- you do not need to pay extra for Factory New, which costs three and a half times as much;
- you are putting together a loadout in a red-and-gray palette.
