The SSG 08 | Carbon Fiber in Factory New (FN) is a Scout in a dark carbon weave. The skin has only two wears, Factory New and Minimal Wear, and its float scale stops at 0.12. It is Industrial Grade, and no regular case holds the finish.

What the SSG 08 | Carbon Fiber looks like in Factory New

The rifle is almost monochrome. The stock and barrel are wrapped in a dark carbon weave: coal black with a graphite sheen. The scope, bipod, bolt, handle and cheek rest stay an even gray-olive metal. The optic, bipod and muzzle brake carry no pattern.

Up close, the stock shows a fine diagonal herringbone weave, and the side has a long oval chassis cutout. There are no inscriptions. The surface is matte and even. In the 0.00 to 0.07 band the paint is intact, and the weave reads as one continuous sheet.

The skin belongs to the 2021 Vertigo Collection. The collection opened in the game in September 2021, and the SSG 08 | Carbon Fiber was there from day one. The finish has no regular case: it comes from Vertigo Souvenir packages, of which there are six, from Stockholm 2021 to Shanghai 2024.

The dark carbon-weave stock takes light stickers well: they read against the coal background. The fine herringbone gives texture without distracting from the sticker. The gray-olive details nearby contrast with the dark stock, and a sticker craft can be built around that pairing.
