SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader (Field-Tested)

This is the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader in Field-Tested (FT). Its float band runs from 0.15 to 0.38, which is 23% of the finish's scale. It is a Restricted skin from the Chroma 3 collection and drops from the Chroma 3 Case. The Scout is black and gray, with cold light blue inserts.

What the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader looks like in Field-Tested

The base of the rifle is black and dark gray. Light blue covers the bipod, the bolt handle, the grip panel, part of the chassis and the cheek rest. The bolt and part of the mechanism are light silver metal. The barrel and scope are black.

The blue is scattered in patches around the edges, while the center of the receiver stays dark. A small red mark sits on the receiver and cannot be made out. On the handle you can see a small red and turquoise triangle. There is no cross or knightly symbol anywhere on the model. Wear is recorded in the float and fixed at drop: closer to 0.38 there are more scuffs, closer to 0.15 fewer.

Where the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader came from

The skin came out in April 2016 with the Chroma 3 collection. In Valve's description it has arctic blue accents.

What sets listings of the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader apart:

• stickers and a name tag left on the SSG 08 by the previous owner.

Every copy carries the same pattern. Because this wear stretches from 0.15 to 0.38, listings from the two ends of the band do not look alike.

What the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs about six times as much, and Minimal Wear a little over one and a half times. Well-Worn costs almost the same, and Battle-Scarred is slightly cheaper.

Among the six Restricted SSG 08 skins, this one is fourth by price. Above it stand Sea Calico, Death's Head and Parallax: the first two cost tens and hundreds of times more, the third almost three times. Below it the Rapid Transit is a little cheaper and the Fever Dream noticeably cheaper.

Stickers and craft on the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader

The dark center of the receiver leaves room for light and blue stickers, which echo the inserts. Red stickers argue with the small red mark on the receiver. It is best to leave the silver bolt open, so as not to lose the only light detail.

Field-Tested on the SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader is worth buying for three reasons:
