SSG 08 | Green Ceramic (Well-Worn)

The SSG 08 | Green Ceramic in Well-Worn (WW) is a green Consumer Grade sniper scout from The Boreal Collection. The float is narrow, 0.38 to 0.45, and the price stays level with Battle-Scarred. Buying this scout for CS2 in Well-Worn means paying less than for the top three wears.

What the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic looks like in Well-Worn

The skin is covered in a green fill without artwork. The chassis and handguard are a saturated green, and the grip and stock are darker and closer to olive. The black barrel carries the muzzle brake, and the scope is olive with a golden cast. There is only one color, so from listing to listing the only thing that changes is the wear.

The Well-Worn band of this skin lies between 0.38 and 0.45. That is nine percent of a scale that breaks off at 0.75. The condition of the paint was fixed at the moment of the drop.

Where the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic came from

In Valve's note of March 31, 2025, three new collections were added to the weekly reward list. Together they bring more than seventy skins, from plain solid colors to gold reliefs. The Boreal Collection is among them, and the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic is one of the plain ones. Valve is the author of the skin.

What to check before buying

When choosing a listing, look at the following:

• float: the 0.38 to 0.45 band is narrow, and listings inside it are nearly indistinguishable;

• stickers and a name tag already sitting on that particular copy;

• item kind: this skin has no StatTrak.

In this wear the band is tight and the copies barely differ. The pattern index decides nothing on this scout, because it is the same everywhere.

What the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic costs in Well-Worn

Measured against Well-Worn, the other wears cost this much:

• the top three wears (Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested) cost about a third more;

• Battle-Scarred is level, with a difference under three percent.

The choice between Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred is not about money but about float, which is lower on the first. The price is the same.

At the bottom of the Consumer Grade SSG 08 row this skin stands beside two others, SSG 08 | Grey Smoke and SSG 08 | Sans Comic. A little above is SSG 08 | Blue Spruce, and further above SSG 08 | Prey. SSG 08 | Jungle Dashed is an order of magnitude dearer. Beyond that come SSG 08 | Red Stone and SSG 08 | Sand Dune.

Getting the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic

You will not find this skin in CS2 cases. The Boreal Collection is on the Weekly Care Package list, so the scout is handed out as a reward for time played.

It cannot be built by contract, because Consumer Grade is the lowest rank of the collection. It goes in as a trade-up input, and one skin of a higher rank comes out, for example SSG 08 | Tiger Tear or P90 | Mustard Gas.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version is provided for the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic, and there have been no Souvenir packages with it. If you want a souvenir copy, the Souvenir-O-Matic can build one.

Stickers and craft on the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic

A one-color green base does not argue with stickers. Light and warm ones hold up best on it, while dark green and black stickers merge with the fill and with the black barrel.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn is worth buying for the SSG 08 | Green Ceramic if:

• you want a scout at the price of the bottom pair of wears, but with a lower float than Battle-Scarred;

• scuffs do not bother you, as long as the green stays;

• your stickers need a solid base without artwork.
