SSG 08 | Turbo Peek (Field-Tested)

The SSG 08 | Turbo Peek in Field-Tested (FT) is a neon scout where a purple-pink palette is broken up by orange-yellow stripes. The rank is Classified, and the skin is part of the Operation Riptide Case and the Operation Riptide Collection. In FT, this scout for CS2 can be bought at nearly the price of Well-Worn.

What the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek looks like in Field-Tested

The base is dark purple: barrel, grip and stock. Neon stripes run over it. A raspberry ribbon follows the top of the forend and receiver, while orange-yellow and red inserts lie along the stock tube and its butt.

On the side of the receiver near the grip and on the cheek of the stock stand two small windows with bright pictures in blue, red and yellow. The details of the design are tiny and can be made out only up close.

Where the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek came from

Operation Riptide began on September 22, 2021, and the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek has been in the operation's collection from the first day. Valve describes the scene like this: sports cars race along the side, and the caption says that drifting is a right, not a privilege.

What to check before buying

Before taking the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek, look at these points:

• the float, which shows how far a listing has moved from the lower limit of 0.15;

• the neon ribbons on the receiver and the stock, where all the neon sits;

• the name tag and stickers, which stay with the listing on an SSG 08 | Turbo Peek.

There is no choosing by pattern on the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek as such. Go by the float number, not the wear label, since the band from 0.15 to 0.38 is wide.

What the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek costs in Field-Tested

The other wears against this one:

• Factory New is two and a half times higher;

• Minimal Wear costs about two thirds more;

• Well-Worn is level, with a difference under three percent;

• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a few percent.

The lower wears hardly differ in price from Field-Tested, so the main gap opens upward, toward Minimal Wear and Factory New.

Among Classified SSG 08s in this wear, the skin is third of four by price. Above it stand SSG 08 | Bloodshot and SSG 08 | Death Strike, the latter about eleven times dearer. Below comes SSG 08 | Big Iron.

Getting the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek

The SSG 08 | Turbo Peek comes from the Operation Riptide Case, and the skin's collection is the same.

A trade-up into the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek costs ten skins one rank lower from a single collection. The skin itself goes in as an input toward AK-47 | Leet Museo or Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The SSG 08 | Turbo Peek comes in a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish, but you can build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin.

Stickers and craft on the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek

The base is dark purple, and light stickers read better on it than dark ones. The neon colors of stickers clash with the raspberry ribbons, so white, yellow and light blue suit a craft.

Who this wear suits

Buying the SSG 08 | Turbo Peek specifically in Field-Tested is reasonable when:

• you want a scout with neon and bright stripes, not clean paint;

• Well-Worn costs the same with a worse look, so staying in FT is the sensible move;

• you want to pick the float as a number inside the 0.15 to 0.38 band.
