StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline (Field-Tested)

The StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline in Field-Tested (FT) is a copy with a kill counter. This wear of the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline is assigned the float band 0.15 to 0.38. It is Classified rank; the rifle belongs to The Phoenix Collection and drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case.

What the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline looks like in Field-Tested

The rifle is black, with a carbon fiber pattern, and all of its expressiveness rests on thin red lines. One runs along the receiver, red rings wrap the handguard, and a red stripe follows the edge of the magazine. There are no bright patches and no lettering.

In this wear the band runs 0.15 to 0.38, so copies range from nearly clean bodies to noticeably scuffed ones. It covers 0.23 of the finish's 0.60 scale, which spans 0.10 to 0.70.

Where the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline came from

The finish was made by emkay, who posted it to the Steam Workshop as "AK-47 | Elegant-Red - v1.1 (Redline)" on November 5, 2013. The StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline appeared on February 20, 2014, when The Phoenix Collection was added to the game. According to Valve's note, the operation pass unlocked a weapon case with thirteen community finishes. In Valve's catalog the finish is number 282.

What to check before buying

Choosing a particular StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline comes down to these points:

• the number on the counter: the reading passes to the buyer as it stands and cannot be reset;

• the float: nearer 0.15 there is less wear, nearer 0.38 more;

• any name tag and stickers, which on the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline stay on the listing.

The artwork is the same on every copy, so it gives no reason to prefer one over another.

What the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline costs in Field-Tested

The counter version costs 2.3 times as much as the regular one in the same wear. The other wears of the StatTrak version, against this one:

• Minimal Wear costs about 4.5 times as much;

• Well-Worn is about 16% cheaper;

• Battle-Scarred is about 1.7 times cheaper.

Among Classified StatTrak AK-47s in Field-Tested, this finish is third in price out of eleven. Only StatTrak™ AK-47 | Red Laminate and StatTrak™ AK-47 | Case Hardened cost more, and the nearest one below is StatTrak™ AK-47 | Cartel.

Getting the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline

The counter version drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, and no other case holds this finish. A trade-up builds a StatTrak skin only from ten skins of the rank below. All of them must carry StatTrak as well, because the game does not let regular and StatTrak items be mixed.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline differs from the regular version in its kill counter and its price: the markup is about 2.3 times in this wear. The StatTrak Swap Tool trades counters between two items of the same type, and each one walks away with the other's reading. If you do not need the counter, take the regular AK-47 | Redline from its own page. No souvenir packages were issued for this finish.

Stickers and craft on the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline

A black ground with thin red lines barely gets in the way of stickers. Red and white ones pick up the rifle's lines, while gold and cool colors add contrast.

Who this wear suits

The StatTrak™ AK-47 | Redline in this wear makes sense when:

• you want an AK-47 for CS2 with a live kill counter on a black rifle;

• the 0.15 to 0.38 band matters, with room to pick a cleaner copy;

• the surcharge for the counter, about 2.3 times the regular version, does not bother you.
