The StatTrak™ AK-47 | Slate in Field-Tested (FT) is the same entirely dark rifle with no spot of color anywhere, now carrying a kill counter. Restricted rank, The Snakebite Collection, the rifle drops from the case of the same name, and this grade runs from 0.15 to 0.38. Artwork and origin on the counter version match the plain one, which you buy as its own product on its own page.
What the counter gives you
The counter tracks kills made with this particular StatTrak™ AK-47 | Slate. The number passes to the buyer untouched: nothing resets it, and starting from zero means buying a different listing. That is why the reading gets read alongside the float, as a record of the rifle for some and as dead weight on the price for others.
The only official handle on a reading is the StatTrak Swap Tool. It trades the numbers between two items of the same type, so both keep a counter and each simply walks away with the other's.
What the version with a counter costs
In Field-Tested the StatTrak™ AK-47 | Slate asks around three times what the plain one does. The premium is pronounced here: flat dark paint is inexpensive on its own, which leaves the counter as the main thing being paid for.
Among Restricted StatTrak AK-47 finishes this one holds the middle of the row, above the plain camouflages and well short of the skins carrying artwork.
Getting one
The source matches the plain version, the Snakebite Case. A counter copy comes out of that same opening; there is no separate case for StatTrak.
A trade-up does lead here, on one condition. All ten inputs have to carry StatTrak, since the game will not mix plain and StatTrak skins in one contract. Building a StatTrak™ AK-47 | Slate for CS2 that way comes out dearer than the plain rifle.
