StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon (Field-Tested)

The StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon in Field-Tested (FT) is a chrome AWP with a kill counter. Its float in this wear is 0.15 to 0.38. The skin is Covert, from The Kilowatt Collection. The counter version costs about one and a half times the regular one in this wear.

What the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon looks like in Field-Tested

The base is glossy, chrome-like. The body and stock panels carry purple, copper and teal-blue stripes, the barrel is black and the scope is dark red. According to Valve, the scope is made of carbon.

StatTrak does not change the artwork: the finish is the same as on the regular version, and the counter is added separately. This is the middle of the wear scale, where the mirror layer is no longer perfect but the colored stripes still read.

Where the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon came from

The StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon arrived on February 6, 2024, when The Kilowatt Collection was added to the game. In its update note, Valve presented a case of seventeen community finishes and the Kukri knife as a rare special item. The finish was made by Strenson, and its Valve catalog number is 1170.

What to check before buying

What matters when you buy the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon:

• the counter reading: it passes to the buyer as it stands, and it cannot be reset;

• the float: the 0.15 to 0.38 band is long, and listings inside it differ in wear;

• the stickers and name tag already on this StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon.

The pattern of the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon repeats from listing to listing without changes. The StatTrak Swap Tool is the only official mechanic for the counter: it swaps the two readings between items of the same type.

What the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon costs in Field-Tested

Against Field-Tested, the other wears sit as follows:

• Factory New costs almost 3.7 times as much;

• Minimal Wear costs 1.6 times as much;

• Well-Worn is about a fifth cheaper;

• Battle-Scarred is about a quarter cheaper.

The counter adds one and a half times to the regular version in this wear. The regular AWP | Chrome Cannon is itself the cheapest Covert AWP in FT, and the nearest above it are AWP | Chromatic Aberration and AWP | Hyper Beast.

Getting the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon

The StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon comes from the Kilowatt Case, like the regular version.

In a trade-up, a counter skin comes out only of ten StatTrak skins: the game does not let you mix them with regular ones.

StatTrak and Souvenir

If you do not need a counter, the finish also exists as the regular AWP | Chrome Cannon. It is a separate item with its own page, and in this wear it costs about one and a half times less. No souvenir packages were released for this finish.

Stickers and craft on the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon

The chrome panels carry three colors at once: purple, copper and turquoise. Single-color stickers therefore read better than multicolored ones, while copper and turquoise stickers blend into the stripes.

Who this wear suits

Buying the StatTrak™ AWP | Chrome Cannon in Field-Tested makes sense in three cases:

• you want a kill counter on a chrome AWP for CS2;

• you are happy with the number on the counter, since it cannot be replaced, only transferred;

• you choose the float by number within 0.15 to 0.38.

If you do not need the counter, the regular version will do, and it is about one and a half times cheaper.
