Factory New (FN) on the Tec-9 | Blue Blast means paint with almost no sign of wear and a clean frame. The skin is Consumer Grade, belongs to The Ascent Collection and is made for the terrorist side. The float for this wear is 0.00 to 0.07, which is 9% of the skin's whole range.
What the Tec-9 | Blue Blast looks like in Factory New
The barrel shroud with its round holes and the top of the frame are painted a deep turquoise that turns emerald in the light. The magazine falls outside that palette: it is gray-green, almost olive. The grip and the lower frame stay black. Small light blue dots sit by the ejection port and on the side. The skin has no artwork, and its color rests on the combination of turquoise, olive and black.
In Factory New the edges of the holes in the shroud are as dark as the shroud itself. With wear that edge is the first to lighten, then the top of the frame, and on an FN copy both areas are still intact. Valve's description speaks of shades of blue, and on the model they lean toward blue-green.
Where the Tec-9 | Blue Blast came from
The Tec-9 | Blue Blast is an in-house design. Valve made it itself, and nobody filed a Steam Workshop submission for it. The skin reached the game in March 2025, together with The Ascent Collection, and Valve's skin catalog lists it as number 1279.
In the notes for the spring update, Valve put three collections on the reward list of the weekly Care Package. They are Ascent, Boreal and Radiant, with more than seventy skins between them. The item description boils down to a motto about moving fast, shooting fast and winning fast.
What to check before buying
Before buying a Tec-9 | Blue Blast, check the following:
- the float, since the FN band is short, from 0.00 to 0.07;
- the edges of the holes in the shroud, which should be even, with no light patches;
- the name tag and stickers, since on this skin they remain on the listing.
The artwork on the Tec-9 | Blue Blast is applied identically to every copy. In this wear the skin is a short band of 0.00 to 0.07, so there is no point in chasing the number.
What the Tec-9 | Blue Blast costs in Factory New
The cleanest wear is not the priciest one for this skin. The other four compare with Factory New like this:
- Minimal Wear costs about a tenth more;
- Field-Tested costs a little over twice as much;
- Well-Worn costs about twice as much;
- Battle-Scarred costs about a tenth more.
Among Consumer Grade Tec-9 finishes, the skin in this wear is the cheapest of the lot. Tec-9 | Army Mesh costs about one and a half times as much. Tec-9 | Groundwater and Tec-9 | Urban DDPAT run seven to eight times higher, and Tec-9 | Phoenix Chalk more than sixty times.
Getting the Tec-9 | Blue Blast
No case holds this skin. The Ascent Collection is on the reward list of the weekly Care Package, and that is how a Tec-9 | Blue Blast reaches an inventory.
A trade-up cannot produce Consumer Grade: nothing ranks lower in the collection. The skin itself does work as an input, since ten Consumer Grade skins yield one Industrial Grade skin, Glock-18 | Ocean Topo among them.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the Tec-9 | Blue Blast has been released. Souvenir copies exist, but there were no souvenir packages for this skin, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Blue Blast
The frame is even, so a sticker lies on intact paint. Dark turquoise mutes blue and green stickers, while white, yellow and red ones read with confidence.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Tec-9 | Blue Blast here, in Factory New, is worth it under these conditions:
- you want a turquoise Tec-9 for CS2 with the least possible sign of wear;
- the build rests on an even frame for stickers;
- you are collecting The Ascent Collection in your inventory and need the cleanest copy.
The skin has no artwork, so the cleanliness of the paint is the only thing that sets FN apart from the other wears. In CS2 the difference shows up on a close inspection of the item.
