Tec-9 | Citric Acid in Factory New (FN): an acid-yellow Terrorist-side pistol without a single scuff. The rank is Industrial Grade and the collection is the Radiant Collection. In CS2, copies like this occupy only a small part of the skin's scale.
What the Tec-9 | Citric Acid looks like in Factory New
The base of the finish is a saturated yellow. The tip of the barrel, the charging handle and the drops on the top edge of the shroud are light green. The magazine and the rear grip panel are olive-gray. A thin mesh of dark lines runs across the shroud with its round cutouts. Valve describes it as dark paint spots over a yellow-green base.
The float scale for this wear lies between 0.00 and 0.07. At such a float the paint is clean: the dark lines are part of the artwork, and there is no need to tell them from scratches. Wear is fixed at the drop and does not change afterward.
Where the Tec-9 | Citric Acid came from
The finish came out on March 31, 2025, in the Spring Forward update. Valve added three collections then, Ascent, Boreal and Radiant, and said that together they bring more than seventy new finishes. The Tec-9 | Citric Acid belongs to the Radiant.
What to check before buying
When choosing a Tec-9 | Citric Acid listing, this is what counts:
- float: the Factory New band takes 0.07 out of 0.60, about an eighth of the skin's scale;
- the name tag and stickers this Tec-9 | Citric Acid already carries.
The artwork is identical on all copies, and no rare example exists. The 0.00 to 0.07 stretch is short, so chasing the number is pointless.
What the Tec-9 | Citric Acid costs in Factory New
The other wears, relative to Factory New:
- Minimal Wear is almost three times cheaper;
- Field-Tested is about 4.7 times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is about 1.8 times more expensive;
- Battle-Scarred is eight percent cheaper.
Well-Worn is the only wear that costs more than Factory New, even though it looks noticeably worse.
Among Industrial Grade Tec-9 skins in this condition, nothing is cheaper than the Tec-9 | Citric Acid. The nearest above are Tec-9 | Banana Leaf and Tec-9 | Garter-9, and Tec-9 | Perimeter costs more than four times as much.
Getting the Tec-9 | Citric Acid
The Tec-9 | Citric Acid is in no case. The Radiant Collection is on the weekly reward list for playtime.
A trade-up gets it too: ten skins one rank lower from the collection are needed. Among the Industrial Grade finishes of the Radiant it is the cheapest way into a trade-up upward. Ten such skins return one of six Mil-Spec finishes, P250 | Red Tide among them.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the Tec-9 | Citric Acid was ever released. There were no Souvenir packages for this finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Citric Acid
The yellow body with green accents swallows yellow and green stickers: they merge into the paint. Dark blue, purple and black stickers read clearly. The olive-gray magazine argues with neither a warm nor a cool palette.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Tec-9 | Citric Acid in Factory New makes sense in three cases:
- you want clean yellow paint without chips or scuffs;
- you want the cheapest Factory New among Industrial Grade Tec-9 skins;
- you need an even background for dark stickers on a pistol for CS2.
If a worn look matters more than clean paint, Battle-Scarred costs almost as much, while Field-Tested is almost five times cheaper.
