This is the Tec-9 | Whiteout in Minimal Wear (MW), where the cream-white fill is almost whole and only the edges have turned slightly gray. It is a Restricted pistol from the Train 2025 Collection. The skin has no ordinary case; it comes only from tournament Souvenir packages.
What the Tec-9 | Whiteout looks like in Minimal Wear
The fill is uniform: the barrel shroud with its round holes, the receiver, the grip and the magazine share one shade. That shade is cream rather than bright white. There is no artwork, only a stamp on the receiver and knurling on the grip.
In Minimal Wear the marks are small and appear on raised spots: the rims of the holes, the corners of the receiver and the rib of the magazine. They are grayer than the overall tone, but the flat surfaces stay clean. Valve describes the pistol as painted white from a spray can.
Where the Tec-9 | Whiteout came from
The skin entered the game on March 31, 2025, together with the Train 2025 Collection. In its update note Valve gave only the name of the set.
What to check before buying
Before paying, look at these things:
- the float: the wear band for this wear is 0.07 to 0.15;
- gray spots on the rims of the holes and on the magazine rib;
- stickers and a name tag left on the listing by a previous owner.
The pattern never changes, so price is not tied to it. A spread of 0.07 to 0.15 is too small to choose by. It takes up 9% of the 0.06 to 1.00 range.
What the Tec-9 | Whiteout costs in Minimal Wear
Next to Minimal Wear, the rest of the ladder reads like this:
- Factory New costs 11.4 times more;
- Field-Tested costs 6 times less;
- Well-Worn costs 10 times less;
- Battle-Scarred costs almost 11.4 times less.
Of eight Restricted Tec-9 skins, six are cheaper than this one in this wear and one is more expensive. Only the Tec-9 | Nuclear Threat ranks higher, at about ten times the price. The nearest below is the Tec-9 | Titanium Bit, almost half the price, followed by the Tec-9 | Avalanche and the Tec-9 | Re-Entry.
Getting the Tec-9 | Whiteout
In a contract, ten skins one rank lower turn into a Tec-9 | Whiteout, with a one in three chance when all ten come from this collection. Among the tournament packages that hold copies is the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version of this pistol, but a Souvenir version exists.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Whiteout
The single-color body takes stickers well: dark, saturated ones read at once, while white ones vanish. Space is tight: the side of the grip, the magazine and a plane of the receiver. On Minimal Wear, keep a sticker away from the edges, where gray paint has already appeared.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear is worth taking if:
- you want a white pistol with no artwork, and Factory New costs 11 times more;
- gray spots on the edges do not bother you, and Field-Tested costs 6 times less;
- the pistol is for a CS2 loadout.
