Description

The UMP-45 | Continuum in Factory New (FN) has its thin pattern lines intact on every edge, and the whole design rests on exactly that. It is a Restricted skin that comes from the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The UMP-45 | Continuum is a blue-teal finish with a funnel of concentric lines.

What the UMP-45 | Continuum looks like in Factory New

The body is blue with teal-green, and black concentric lines spread across it. The center of the funnel falls on the side of the receiver, above the trigger guard. The pattern resembles a topographic map: nested arcs, with no figures or lettering.

The stock is blue with bright light-blue inserts by the cutouts. The front grip and the bottom of the magazine are left as bare silver-gray metal, while the top cover and the trigger group are dark gray. The painted part therefore looks like an insert set into a metal body.

The lines are thin, and in Factory New they are unbroken everywhere. On higher-float listings the receiver edges, the magazine corners and the stock frame around its holes break first. The funnel in the middle of the side panel holds longer. Once the pattern wears through to bright metal, the arcs fall apart into fragments.

Where the UMP-45 | Continuum came from

The finish was painted by a Steam Workshop author who goes by cimota. The submission went up on October 23, 2023, under a different title: "UMP-45 | ILLUMINA v2". The author described his work this way: when fired, the weapon's surface reflects a mesmerizing flash of light.

The Genesis Collection dates to September 16, 2025, and the finish is number 1351 in Valve's catalog. In a separate note, Valve said that players in Belgium, the Netherlands and France can also open the Sealed Genesis Terminal.

What to check before buying

Before paying, check these:

  • the float: within 0.00 to 0.07 there is no best copy to hunt for;

  • whether the black lines are intact on the receiver edges and the magazine corners;

  • what the previous owner left on the UMP-45 | Continuum: stickers and an applied name tag.

The pattern is identical on every listing. The float sits within 0.00 to 0.07.

What the UMP-45 | Continuum costs in Factory New

The gap between wears is large here. Minimal Wear is almost three times cheaper, Field-Tested and Well-Worn about six times cheaper, and Battle-Scarred nine times cheaper. The reason is the thin lines: on a worn body the pattern breaks up, and all that is left of the finish is a blue blotch.

Nine Restricted UMP-45 skins have a price in this wear, and the Continuum is fourth from the bottom. UMP-45 | Crimson Foil is level with it, UMP-45 | Scaffold costs about a third more, and UMP-45 | Arctic Wolf and UMP-45 | Exposure are almost half as expensive. The priciest Restricted finish for the model, UMP-45 | Crime Scene, costs more than twenty times what the Continuum does.

Getting the UMP-45 | Continuum

The first source is the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The other is a trade-up contract of ten skins one rank lower from the same collection. The set has five Restricted skins, so the chance of landing the Continuum specifically is one in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the UMP-45 | Continuum

The UMP-45 | Continuum has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Still, you can assemble a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from your inventory. So a lone Souvenir copy now and then shows up even where packages never existed.

A funnel of lines makes a busy background, and a sticker in the middle of the side panel fights the pattern. White and yellow stickers read best on the blue, while light blue and teal ones get lost in it. For a CS2 craft, the stock and the bare metal of the front grip are the convenient spots.

Who this wear suits

Factory New is the right place to buy the UMP-45 | Continuum if any one of these applies:

  • you want an intact pattern, since in the lower wears the lines break on every edge;

  • the SMG is going into a CS2 collection, not into everyday use;

  • you need an even surface for a craft.

The gap to Minimal Wear is almost threefold, and that is the main argument against the top wear if the weapon is meant for playing.
