Description

The UMP-45 | Continuum in Field-Tested (FT): the thin black arcs of the pattern are already broken along the edges, and the funnel holds only on the flat side panel. In this wear the skin spans the band 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Restricted skin that drops from the Sealed Genesis Terminal.

What the UMP-45 | Continuum looks like in Field-Tested

The base is blue shading into teal green, with nested black arcs laid over it. They converge on a single point above the trigger guard, the center of the whole funnel. The pattern reads like a topographic map and has no figures or lettering. On the stock, bright light-blue inserts by the openings are added to the blue.

Not the whole body is painted. The front grip and the bottom of the magazine stay bare light metal, while the top cover, the rail and the trigger group are dark gray. The color takes up the side of the receiver, the magazine, the grip and the stock.

The entire design is thin lines, and in Field-Tested they are already torn. The magazine corners, the stock frame around its holes and the receiver edges give out first: the paint is worn down to light metal there, and the arc breaks off. The funnel in the middle of the side panel is intact, so the center of the pattern reads even toward the top of the band.

Where the UMP-45 | Continuum came from

The finish is by cimota. He submitted the work to the Steam Workshop on October 23, 2023, under the working title "UMP-45 | ILLUMINA v2". What he promised was this: when you fire, the weapon's surface gives off a mesmerizing flash of light.

The Genesis Collection came out on September 16, 2025. The finish is number 1351 in Valve's catalog. Valve noted separately in its update that buyers in Belgium, the Netherlands and France were also allowed to open the terminal.

What to check before buying

The differences between copies of the UMP-45 | Continuum come down to this:

  • the float: nearer 0.15 only the sharpest edges break, and nearer 0.38 the breaks multiply;

  • the arcs on the side of the receiver, since the center of the funnel outlasts the edges;

  • stickers from a previous owner and any rename of the UMP-45 | Continuum.

The pattern is the same on every copy. In this wear the band runs 0.15 to 0.38, and listings from opposite ends of it look different.

What the UMP-45 | Continuum costs in Field-Tested

The gap is big upward and almost nonexistent downward:

  • Factory New costs about six times more;

  • Minimal Wear costs about twice as much;

  • Well-Worn is cheaper by next to nothing;

  • Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a third.

The whole Restricted rank for this model sells for small amounts, and the difference from Well-Worn is negligible. The order there is set by a couple of listings, not by the condition of the body.

Ten Restricted UMP-45 skins have a price in this wear, and the Continuum is third from the bottom. One skin is level with it, and two are cheaper, UMP-45 | Arctic Wolf among them. UMP-45 | Exposure and UMP-45 | Scaffold cost about twice as much, and the priciest finish in the rank is UMP-45 | Crime Scene.

Getting the UMP-45 | Continuum

The only way to get it from the game itself is the Sealed Genesis Terminal. A trade-up contract for the UMP-45 | Continuum takes ten skins one rank lower, all from the same collection. The Restricted rank of the set has five finishes, so the chance of getting this one is one in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the UMP-45 | Continuum

There is a StatTrak version of the UMP-45 | Continuum. Souvenir packages were never released for this finish: they existed only for tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy can be made at home, though. The Souvenir-O-Matic adds gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why odd Souvenir copies surface even for finishes that never had packages.

The side of the receiver is taken up by the center of the funnel, and a sticker over it overrides the whole design. There is more even space on the stock and on the bare metal of the front grip. In Field-Tested the edge of a sticker will land on an edge that is already worn.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is worth buying on the UMP-45 | Continuum in three cases:

  • you need a working gun for CS2 matches, not a copy for inspection;

  • ragged edges are fine with you, since at a distance the funnel still reads;

  • you don't want to pay six times more for intact lines.

Between this wear and Well-Worn there is nothing to choose on price. The sixfold gap to a clean body is worth weighing, though, if the SMG is going into a CS2 collection: in that case look at floats closer to 0.15.
