UMP-45 | Wild Child (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most affordable step of the UMP-45 | Wild Child and has the widest scale, with a float from 0.45 to 1.00. The rank is Classified, and the skin belongs to The Revolution Collection.

What the UMP-45 | Wild Child looks like in Battle-Scarred

The finish resembles a page from a child's notebook. The base is dark raspberry and plum, with blocks of turquoise, yellow and pink laid over it, and scribbles in pink, yellow, turquoise and blue are scratched across them. Among the scribbles you can make out little people, stars, hearts, triangles, circles and animals.

Battle-Scarred carries the deepest wear. The scribbles are thin lines, as if drawn with a marker. On the raised spots they vanish first: the receiver ribs, the handguard edge, the stock corners and the magazine rim. The colored blocks sit on flat surfaces and last longer. Wear is fixed at the drop, and it does not grow with time.

Where the UMP-45 | Wild Child came from

The finish was made by kiku. In the Steam Workshop the submission was called "UMP // XmmX" and went in during August 2022. The author wrote of the work that not every item has to be new and bright. Valve's catalog numbers the skin 1236.

The Revolution Collection came out on February 9, 2023, and the UMP-45 | Wild Child reached the game the same day. It belongs to the Revolution Case, which holds 17 finishes by community artists. Valve calls the UMP-45 the misunderstood middle child of the submachine gun family, with the small magazine as its only flaw. The item text says that beneath the sketches of bullets, crowns and other drawings lie stripes of neon color.

What to check before buying

Several points deserve a look first:

• the float: the 0.45 to 1.00 band is wide, and listings near its two ends clearly differ;

• the receiver ribs, handguard edge and stock corners, where the scribbles go first;

• stickers and a name tag: whatever a previous owner left on the skin.

No lucky pattern can be pulled out of this finish, since it is always the same.

Across 0.45 to 1.00 the skin changes visibly, so the listing is picked by its number.

What the UMP-45 | Wild Child costs in Battle-Scarred

The finish gets dearer as the wear improves: Factory New costs almost four times as much, and Minimal Wear almost twice. Field-Tested costs a sixth more, and Well-Worn a tenth more.

Five Classified UMP-45 skins have a price in this wear, and the UMP-45 | Wild Child is the cheapest of them. Neo-Noir costs a quarter more, K.O. Factory a third more, Momentum almost twice as much and Primal Saber almost four times as much.

Getting the UMP-45 | Wild Child

The Revolution Case is the drop source. A trade-up contract takes ten Restricted skins from any collections, and the result comes from the collection of one of the inputs. Ten skins from The Revolution Collection are needed only if the player wants to steer the result into this set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak copies of the UMP-45 | Wild Child exist. Souvenir packages for it were never made, a point the finish shares with several others.

Stickers and craft on the UMP-45 | Wild Child

The busy surface of scribbles sets no strict limits, but stickers read worse on it than on plain-colored skins. The dark gray rail and barrel remain a calm background for light stickers.

Who this wear suits

This wear of the UMP-45 | Wild Child is worth buying for three reasons:

• you want a UMP-45 with childlike scribbles at the lowest price of the finish;

• the float matters, and the 0.45 to 1.00 band lets you pick a copy by number;

• scuffed edges and corners do not bother you.

The wear has no effect on shooting in CS2. It only changes the looks.
