This is the USP-S | Black Lotus in Field-Tested (FT), and in CS2 this pistol takes the middle of the wear scale: from 0.15 to 0.38. It is Mil-Spec, belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection and drops from the Operation Riptide Case.
What the USP-S | Black Lotus looks like in Field-Tested
Despite the name, there is no black on the skin. The slide is dark purple with a blue cast, and pink-lilac blossoms and thin twigs are scattered over it. The frame, the guard and the grip are steel gray with a lilac tint, and the suppressor is dark gray.
The artwork lies on the slide and reaches slightly onto the grip. The frame, the magazine and the suppressor are plain. You can see clusters of small flowers, buds and bare twigs: toward the muzzle there are more flowers, and toward the rear only branches remain. In Field-Tested the paint wears off a little along the top edge of the slide, and the rest looks clean.
Where the USP-S | Black Lotus came from
The skin joined The Operation Riptide Collection. The operation, together with its collection, began on September 22, 2021, and the USP-S | Black Lotus has sat in that set since day one. Valve's text calls the finish a flower of black lotus on the slide.
What to check before buying
Before paying for a USP-S | Black Lotus, it is worth checking:
- float: here the USP-S | Black Lotus should be picked within 0.15 to 0.38, since the difference between the top and the bottom of the span is visible;
- the applied name tag and the stickers, which stay with the listing.
The artwork on the USP-S | Black Lotus is fixed and does not depend on the copy.
What the USP-S | Black Lotus costs in Field-Tested
Factory New costs 18.65 times more, and Minimal Wear 2.49 times more. Downward the steps are smaller: Well-Worn is 1.38 times cheaper, and Battle-Scarred is 1.53 times cheaper.
Among Mil-Spec USP-S skins in this wear, the skin sits above the middle: nine cost less, five cost more. Lead Conduit is practically level, and below are Torque, Check Engine and Alpine Camo. At the top sit Blueprint, Stainless and Business Class, and Business Class is about thirty times dearer than Black Lotus.
Getting the USP-S | Black Lotus
The skin drops from the Operation Riptide Case. It cannot be had through a contract: its collection has no skins of a lower rank.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The USP-S | Black Lotus has a StatTrak version. The skin has no Souvenir version.
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Black Lotus
The flowers are gathered on the slide, so stickers on the plain frame, magazine and suppressor do not argue with the artwork. The dark purple background of the slide holds light stickers best. A CS2 craft is sensibly built on lilac with gray steel.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested on the USP-S | Black Lotus is worth it in these cases:
- you want a floral USP-S without the Factory New premium, which runs nearly nineteen times higher;
- you want a float closer to the lower bound of 0.15, so that the paint on the slide is more intact;
- you want the StatTrak version on the same base.
