Minimal Wear (MW) is the USP-S | Kill Confirmed with the wear barely touching its edges: a red-painted Covert pistol from The Shadow Collection. In this wear the float runs between 0.07 and 0.15. The skin can be had for CS2 in any of five wears.
What the USP-S | Kill Confirmed looks like in Minimal Wear
The grip and frame are red, and the slide has dark burgundy swirls. A skull sits on the slide by the rear sight, white with gray shadows and an orange eye socket. The suppressor is dark brown, wrapped in a winding gold-cream ribbon, and a painted golden casing decorates its base.
In Minimal Wear the ribbon and the skull can still be made out in full. The thin gold lines are the first to dull, and the pale outline of the skull at the slide edge is only slightly rubbed. The red fields are almost untouched. Wear is set when the skin drops, so a listing shows exactly what the buyer will receive.
Where the USP-S | Kill Confirmed came from
In Valve's catalog the finish is number 504. The Shadow Collection was added to the game in September 2015, and the USP-S | Kill Confirmed arrived with that same update. Valve calls the USP a fan favorite from Counter-Strike: Source, with a detachable suppressor, and describes the artwork as a bullet shattering a skull.
What to check before buying
These points count in a USP-S | Kill Confirmed listing:
- Float: the 0.07–0.15 band takes up 8% of the skin's scale;
- Stickers and a name tag the pistol inherited from a previous owner;
- The slide edge, where scuffs appear first.
Copies differ by float alone, because the pattern is the same. The 0.07–0.15 stretch is short, so there is no point chasing a number.
What the USP-S | Kill Confirmed costs in Minimal Wear
Minimal Wear stacks up against the other wears like this:
- Factory New costs 2.27 times more;
- Field-Tested costs 1.43 times less;
- Well-Worn costs 1.78 times less;
- Battle-Scarred costs 1.82 times less.
The price steps down without sharp jumps, and the biggest step lies between the two top wears. Of the four Covert USP-S skins, this one in Minimal Wear is second by price. Only the USP-S | Neo-Noir costs more, by a tenth. The USP-S | Printstream costs about 1.5 times less, and the USP-S | The Traitor almost half as much.
Getting the USP-S | Kill Confirmed
The source is the Shadow Case, and no other case holds the skin.
It can also be built through a trade-up, with ten skins of the rank below from the same collection going in. The odds are one in two. The Shadow Daggers are the collection's knife, and they are built from five Covert skins.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The USP-S | Kill Confirmed was released in a StatTrak version. There was no souvenir package for this finish. You can still assemble a souvenir copy yourself in the Souvenir-O-Matic, which carries gold tournament stickers and a player autograph over onto a regular skin.
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Kill Confirmed
The red body gives stickers an even background. White ones read best, while yellow ones fight the ribbon on the suppressor. Leave the skull at the tail of the slide open, and place a craft on the red frame.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear on the USP-S | Kill Confirmed makes sense for three reasons:
- you want a red-painted USP-S with an intact ribbon, without paying more than double for Factory New;
- there is no need to select by float, since the band is short;
- the pistol is going to CS2, where light wear on the edges is a minor matter.
