The USP-S | Kill Confirmed in Well-Worn (WW) sits in a narrow strip toward the middle of the scale. This wear is given the band 0.38–0.45. It is a Covert skin, drops from the Shadow Case, and is used on the Counter-Terrorist side.
What the USP-S | Kill Confirmed looks like in Well-Worn
The main color is red, with dark burgundy swirls across the frame and slide. At the tail of the slide, by the rear sight, is a skull: white and gray, with a glowing orange eye socket. A golden-cream ribbon winds around the suppressor, and a golden shell casing is drawn at its base. Almost everything is painted; only the end of the suppressor and the small controls are left bare.
In Well-Worn the first things to go are the thin gold lines of the ribbon on the round suppressor and the light outline of the skull along the slide edge. The front edge of the slide and the ribs of the grip are already rubbed to metal at this point. The large red planes dull later, so the skull stays whole and recognizable.
Where the USP-S | Kill Confirmed came from
The design came from the Steam Workshop, from an author who signs as Nick. He posted the submission "USP-S | Kill Confirmed" on September 7, 2015, and described the idea in his own words. He wanted to show the pistol's power and convey the feel of a precise headshot. The body shows the moment just after the hit, when the bullet leaves destruction in its wake.
The Shadow Collection was released on September 17, 2015. The finish's number in Valve's catalog is 504, which makes it one of the early pistol designs in red.
What to check before buying
Before paying, check:
- float: toward the top of the band the slide edge is already bare metal, but the artwork is whole;
- the state of the golden ribbon on the suppressor, where the thin lines wear off first;
- any stickers and a name tag the last owner put on.
The pattern on the USP-S | Kill Confirmed is applied the same way on every copy.
The 0.38–0.45 range is small, so looking at the float here is optional.
What the USP-S | Kill Confirmed costs in Well-Worn
Set against the other wears, the ladder looks like this:
- Factory New costs almost four times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs about sixty percent more;
- Field-Tested costs about a tenth more;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a few percent.
The two lowest wears cost practically the same. The step up to Field-Tested is small, and the body there is visibly tidier.
There are four Covert USP-S skins in the game. In Well-Worn the USP-S | Kill Confirmed is third from the bottom by price. Two of the others are about half as expensive, and the USP-S | Neo-Noir costs about three quarters more.
Getting the USP-S | Kill Confirmed
The Shadow Case is the very source of this finish; no other case holds the skin. Ten skins one step down from this collection can be traded up for the USP-S | Kill Confirmed. The Covert rank itself goes on into a knife craft: this collection yields the Shadow Daggers.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Kill Confirmed
The USP-S | Kill Confirmed has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish exist too, but there were no packages for it: those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.
A red-burgundy base with large artwork leaves little room for stickers: the frame above the trigger guard and the rear part of the suppressor are free. White and light blue stickers read best on the red, while yellow ones fight the golden ribbon. Expensive builds are not usually put together on a worn body in CS2.
Who this wear suits
This wear is worth buying when:
- you want a Covert USP-S for CS2 and every tenth of the price counts;
- the skull matters more than the state of the edges: at this wear it reads in full;
- the pistol is for play, not for display.
The difference from its neighbors on the scale is small in both directions. Battle-Scarred costs almost the same, and Field-Tested costs only a tenth more and looks more even.
