In Battle-Scarred (BS) the USP-S | Neo-Noir is the cheapest of its five wears, yet among the four Covert USP-S skins it is still the most expensive. It belongs to The Spectrum Collection, and the float band of this wear runs from 0.45 to 0.70.
What the USP-S | Neo-Noir looks like in Battle-Scarred
Slide, frame and suppressor come in a deep brown that nearly reads as black, and raspberry and pink fills glow against it. A stylized woman's face with locks of hair is drawn in the back third of the slide, with turquoise strokes and white highlights beside it. The grip has purple-blue and turquoise lines, and the muzzle is left as bare steel.
Wear here is the heaviest the skin gets, and it reads first on the round suppressor, where the thin turquoise strokes and white highlights go earliest. Next come the front edge of the slide, the serrations and the raised sight. The wide raspberry fills on the flat side hold longer. Within 0.45 to 0.70 the USP-S | Neo-Noir changes visibly, so a listing is chosen by its number.
Where the USP-S | Neo-Noir came from
donschi drew the skin and sent it to the Steam Workshop in March 2016 under the working title "USP_Noir". The Spectrum Collection opened in the game on March 15, 2017, and the USP-S | Neo-Noir was in it from day one. Valve's catalog numbers the finish 653.
What to check before buying
Before picking up a USP-S | Neo-Noir, go through these points:
- the float: the band of 0.45 to 0.70 takes about a third of the scale, and the look of the suppressor varies across it;
- the strokes and highlights on the suppressor, and the front edge of the slide;
- stickers and a name tag already on this copy of the USP-S | Neo-Noir.
The artwork is identical on every copy, so pattern plays no part in the price.
What the USP-S | Neo-Noir costs in Battle-Scarred
The other wears cost more, or the same:
- Factory New is 1.12 times more expensive;
- Minimal Wear is 1.09 times more expensive;
- Well-Worn is 1.07 times more expensive;
- Field-Tested costs the same.
All the wears sit in a narrow corridor: from the lowest to the highest, the gap is one eighth. Among the four Covert USP-S skins, this one in Battle-Scarred is the most expensive. The USP-S | Kill Confirmed costs almost half as much, and the USP-S | Printstream and USP-S | The Traitor are three and a half times cheaper.
Getting the USP-S | Neo-Noir
The skin drops from the Spectrum Case. The second road to the USP-S | Neo-Noir is a trade-up. It takes ten skins one rank down from the same collection: AWP | Fever Dream, CZ75-Auto | Xiangliu and M4A1-S | Decimator. There are two Covert skins in the collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the USP-S | Neo-Noir exists. No Souvenir packages were made for the finish, but you can build a Souvenir copy yourself at the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Neo-Noir
There is little room on a pistol, and the face on the slide takes it. That leaves the frame and the suppressor. Turquoise, purple and white stickers match the palette, while warm ochre fights with the raspberry.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is the right wear for a USP-S | Neo-Noir if:
- you want a Covert USP-S for CS2 at the lowest price among the skin's wears;
- a gap of 1.07 to 1.12 times to the upper wears does not justify paying more;
- the face on the slide matters more than a clean suppressor.
In CS2, Battle-Scarred differs from the other wears only in wear.
