Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most affordable way into the USP-S | Printstream. The wear range runs from 0.45 to 0.85: the scale is cut off at the top and does not reach one. The skin is Covert rank and drops from the Recoil Case.
What the USP-S | Printstream looks like in Battle-Scarred
The finish rests on one border: everything above the seam of slide and frame is white, everything below is black. The suppressor, slide and base of the magazine are milky white, while the frame, trigger guard and grip are black-graphite with fine lengthwise hatching. Bold "XX" marks stand on the side of the slide, with a small heart, little crosses and diamonds beside them, and a scrap of lettering like "B11" can be read. On the slide and at the bottom of the grip sit small holographic rectangles with turquoise-green lines.
The black graphics lie on the flat of the slide and are not the first to go. Ahead of them go the slide edges, the front cut, the serrations and the lugs of the frame. On the white, wear reads as dirt and dark specks, so toward the top of the band the milky tone grays. On the black grip the fine hatching vanishes along the ribs, while the bold "XX" stays whole right up to the top of the scale.
The USP-S | Printstream in this wear is the band from 0.45 to 0.85, and listings from the two ends of the stretch look different.
Where the USP-S | Printstream came from
The finish came from the Steam Workshop, and its artist is JTPNZ. He posted the submission on December 30, 2020, so a year and a half passed before the finish reached the game. The author ended the text under the submission with thanks to the players and to Valve for the chance to show the work, and a short sign-off, "stay cool".
The USP-S | Printstream appeared in the game on July 1, 2022. In the case announcement Valve listed seventeen finishes by community authors and called the gloves the rare special items. In the skin catalog the design is number 1142.
What to check before buying
Before taking a USP-S | Printstream, look at these points:
- the float within 0.45 to 0.85: at the lower end the white still holds its milky tone;
- the slide edges and the front cut of the suppressor, where the paint wears off first;
- whether the USP-S | Printstream carries stickers and a name tag.
The pattern on the USP-S | Printstream is not a lottery: every copy is the same.
What the USP-S | Printstream costs in Battle-Scarred
Factory New costs almost three times as much, Minimal Wear about two thirds more. Field-Tested and Well-Worn are dearer by only a few percent: the three worn wears cost almost the same, and the order among them rests on individual listings.
The game has four Covert USP-S finishes, and in Battle-Scarred this one is second by price. The USP-S | The Traitor is about a sixth cheaper, the USP-S | Kill Confirmed two thirds dearer, and the USP-S | Neo-Noir about three times.
Getting the USP-S | Printstream
There is one route: the Recoil Case. A contract for the USP-S | Printstream consists of ten skins of the rank below from one collection. The set has two Covert finishes, so the outcome of a trade-up is not settled in advance.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Printstream
The USP-S | Printstream has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever issued for this finish: they were made only for the tournament map collections. But you can build a Souvenir copy yourself, since the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why a few Souvenir copies turn up now and then even where no packages ever existed.
The pistol has little flat field: the side of the slide is taken by the block of X marks, and the suppressor is usually left clean. What remains is the stretch of frame above the grip and the free part of the slide toward the cut. On grayed white a colored sticker reads even sharper than on clean, while dark ones drown in the graphite frame.
Who this wear suits
Buying the USP-S | Printstream in Battle-Scarred is justified when:
- you want a Covert USP-S for CS2 at the bottom of the rank;
- pure white is not essential and the black-and-white drawing itself is what counts;
- you are preparing a craft and there is no reason to pay for untouched edges.
At 0.45 the white is nearly untouched; at 0.85 the grayness shows right in the CS2 preview.
