USP-S | Printstream (Minimal Wear)

The USP-S | Printstream in Minimal Wear (MW) is a black-and-white pistol with its artwork intact and its white only slightly dulled at the edges. It is a Covert skin and drops from the Recoil Case.

What the USP-S | Printstream looks like in Minimal Wear

The top of the pistol is white: suppressor, slide and the base of the magazine. The bottom is black graphite: frame, trigger guard, trigger and a grip with fine lengthwise hatching. The two meet exactly at the seam between slide and frame. Standing out from the artwork are a bold "XX" on the slide, a small heart, tiny crosses and a scrap of lettering like "B11".

In Minimal Wear the marks of use show on the edges of the slide, the front face and the serrations of the frame. The flat of the slide, with its black graphics, is still intact. The float band for this skin runs from 0.07 to 0.15, a tight stretch in which one listing is hard to tell from another.

Where the USP-S | Printstream came from

The artist is JTPNZ, who posted "USP-S | PRINTSTREAM" to the Steam Workshop on December 30, 2020. The skin went live on July 1, 2022 with the Recoil Collection. Valve announced the Recoil Case as a case of seventeen finishes by community artists, and the Broken Fang Gloves became the rare special items in it. In Valve's catalog the skin is number 1142.

What to check before buying

A listing is worth checking on three points:

• the float: near 0.07 the white edges are almost clean, and by 0.15 dark specks show on them;


• the front face and the slide, where the paint comes off;


• the name tag and stickers this USP-S | Printstream already carries.

Artwork is identical on every copy, so no single one needs hunting down.

What the USP-S | Printstream costs in Minimal Wear

Here is how the other wears compare with this one:

• Factory New is priced at about 1.6 times this wear;


• Field-Tested is about 1.5 times cheaper;


• Well-Worn is about 1.4 times cheaper;


• Battle-Scarred is almost half the price.

From Minimal Wear to Field-Tested the price drops by a third, Well-Worn is about 30% cheaper, and Battle-Scarred goes lower still. This wear covers 0.08 of the 0.85 scale, about nine percent.

Among the four Covert USP-S finishes in this wear, the skin is third from the top. USP-S | Neo-Noir costs almost twice as much, USP-S | Kill Confirmed 1.7 times as much, and USP-S | The Traitor is a little cheaper.

Getting the USP-S | Printstream

The main route is the Recoil Case. The skin also comes out of a trade-up, where ten skins of the next rank down from a single collection go into the contract.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The game has a StatTrak version of the USP-S | Printstream. No souvenir packages were issued for the skin. Anyone who wants a souvenir copy builds one through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Printstream

Light rubbing on the edges does not get in the way of a craft, because the flats of the slide and frame stay clean. Colored stickers show best on the dark frame and grip, while on the white slide the dark ones read. The holographic inserts and the "XX" are better left uncovered.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is justified for the USP-S | Printstream in these cases:

• you want a black-and-white USP-S for CS2 without the factory price;


• a light film on the white does not bother you;


• keeping the artwork whole matters to you, and you choose a float near the bottom of the band.
