Well-Worn (WW) on the USP-S | Printstream is the float band from 0.38 to 0.45, 8 percent of the paint scale, and it costs slightly more than Field-Tested. The skin is Covert, from The Recoil Collection, and the pistol drops from the Recoil Case. In CS2 the 0.38 to 0.45 band is one of the tightest there is.
What the USP-S | Printstream looks like in Well-Worn
The finish splits along a strict horizontal line: everything above the seam of slide and frame is white, everything below is black. The suppressor, slide and bottom of the magazine are milky white with black graphics. The frame, trigger guard, trigger and grip are black-graphite with fine lengthwise hatching. Tiny holographic rectangles with turquoise-green lines lie on the slide and low on the grip. The main element is a bold "XX" on the side of the slide, with a heart and small crosses next to it. Diamonds, a scrap of lettering like "B11" and striped dashes can also be made out; the rest of the small text does not read.
The black graphics lie on the white plane of the slide and are not the first thing to go. The slide edges, the front cut, the serrations and the raised parts of the frame give way earlier. On white, wear shows at once as dirt and dark specks, while on the black grip the fine hatching fades along the ribs. Wear is fixed when the skin drops and does not grow, so a Well-Worn copy stays as it dropped.
Where the USP-S | Printstream came from
The finish is credited to JTPNZ, whose submission "USP-S | PRINTSTREAM" came out on the Workshop on December 30, 2020. The author explained his plan after the success of the first Printstream collection: carry the design over to five weapons. The black-and-white scheme stayed, and the iridescent coating adds splashes of color. The USP-S | Printstream appeared on July 1, 2022, when The Recoil Collection was added to the game. In a note of July 4, Valve said the Recoil Case brought 17 finishes by community artists and Broken Fang Gloves as the rare special items. In Valve's catalog the finish carries number 1142.
What to check before buying
Three things set one USP-S | Printstream listing apart from another:
- float: the 0.38 to 0.45 stretch is short, and differences between listings vanish into rounding;
- whether stickers and a name tag are already on it;
- pattern: the USP-S | Printstream has no variance, so what one listing shows, the rest show.
What the USP-S | Printstream costs in Well-Worn
Factory New is 2.3 times dearer than Well-Worn, and Minimal Wear 1.4 times. Field-Tested is 1.08 times cheaper, Battle-Scarred 1.22 times. The main break lies between Minimal Wear and Factory New, while the bottom three wears are fairly close.
Among Covert USP-S skins with a price in this wear, the finish is third of four: only The Traitor is cheaper, by a fifth. Kill Confirmed costs half as much again, and Neo-Noir more than three times as much.
Getting the USP-S | Printstream
The pistol comes out of the Recoil Case. The second road is a trade-up contract of ten Classified skins. They can come from anywhere, and the result comes from the collection of one of the inputs. Ten from The Recoil Collection steers the result toward this set, but that is the player's choice. A Covert skin also works as craft material: five Covert skins give a rare special item with the ★ mark, and the pool of this collection holds only gloves.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The USP-S | Printstream has a StatTrak version, and no Souvenir packages hold the finish.
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Printstream
The white slide is one of the most readable backdrops there is: colored stickers show up cleanly on it, while black ones merge with the graphics. On the black frame and grip, light and bright stickers win. The side of the slide is taken by the "XX" and the heart, so for a sticker setup in CS2 the frame is the handier spot.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is worth buying on the USP-S | Printstream if:
- you want a black-and-white USP with iridescent holographic inserts at the Covert rank;
- it matters that the price is only 1.08 times above Field-Tested;
- the 0.38 to 0.45 band is short, so any two listings are almost the same.
