Description

This is the USP-S | Royal Guard in Field-Tested (FT), and what you pay for here is a small painted area: on this USP-S only the slide is painted. This wear covers floats from 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Restricted skin from the Ascent Collection.

What the USP-S | Royal Guard looks like in Field-Tested

The slide is filled with a saturated blue, with no pattern and no transitions. Brass-gold trim runs over the small parts: the tail of the slide, the safety, the recoil spring housing and the front of the frame. Near the muzzle on the side of the slide sits a small round blue emblem, and a fine white factory USP marking can be made out on the grip.

The rest is left as it came from the factory. The frame and grip are dark gray, the trigger guard is unpainted, and the suppressor is entirely gray-black and bare. Less than a third of the pistol's visible area is painted, and assembled it shows about as much blue as bare factory metal.

Wear in Field-Tested hits two places. First the gold goes from the protruding small parts: the slide tail, the safety, the spring housing. Then the blue gives out on the top rib and the front cut of the slide. The flat side holds longest, and the suppressor makes no difference to the look at all: it has no paint to lose.

Where the USP-S | Royal Guard came from

Valve made the finish, with no Steam Workshop submission behind it. The Ascent Collection was released on March 31, 2025, together with the set for the map of the same name. In Valve's catalog of finishes the skin carries number 1217. The USP-S | Royal Guard is in no case.

What to check before buying

A listing of the USP-S | Royal Guard is chosen on these points:

  • the float: it shows how much brass is left on the small parts;

  • the top rib and front cut of the slide, where the blue goes first;

  • any stickers and name tag left by a previous owner.

There is no lucky pattern to pull on the USP-S | Royal Guard: it is always the same one. The span of 0.15 to 0.38 is wide, so one wear name covers listings in quite different shape.

What the USP-S | Royal Guard costs in Field-Tested

The cleaner wears cost incomparably more: Minimal Wear about four and a half times as much, Factory New almost nine times. Downward the scale is flat. Well-Worn goes level with FT, and Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a fifth.

Among the Restricted USP-S finishes the Royal Guard is the cheapest: all eleven others cost more. Ticket to Hell and one more skin sit almost level with it, Sleeping Potion and Bleeding Edge cost about twice as much, and Guardian five times. At the other end of the rank stand Orange Anolis, Road Rash and Dark Water.

Getting the USP-S | Royal Guard

The skin comes as a drop from the Ascent Collection. A contract for the USP-S | Royal Guard is built like this: ten skins of the rank below, all from one collection. Among the set's Restricted finishes this is the cheapest, and ten of them trade up into the M4A1-S | Stratosphere.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The USP-S | Royal Guard has no StatTrak version. Souvenir copies do exist, but no Souvenir packages were issued for this finish: they were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Royal Guard

The blue slide with brass sets the palette, and stickers go with it either in tone or in contrast. Gold and yellow pick up the trim, white and orange read best on the blue, and dark ones vanish on it. There is little room: the flat side of the slide next to the round emblem is the one even spot.

Who this wear suits

Buying this wear is sensible when:

  • you want a blue USP for CS2 at the lowest price in the rank;

  • a gap of four and a half times to Minimal Wear is unacceptable;

  • the bare suppressor doesn't bother you.

There is almost nothing to save by going below FT: Well-Worn costs the same. For playing CS2 it is wiser to pick a listing closer to 0.15, where the brass on the small parts is still intact.
