The USP-S | Whiteout in Factory New (FN) is as clean as this USP-S gets, and the finish's scale does not start at zero. The float band here is 0.06 to 0.07. The top wear got the first hundredth of the finish's whole scale. It is Classified rank, and the skin belongs to the 2021 Train Collection, which has no case of its own.
What the USP-S | Whiteout looks like in Factory New
The pistol is painted white throughout. The slide, frame, grip and suppressor are covered in an even matte coat, with no artwork on it at all. The white is warm rather than icy, closer to cream, and on the curves of the frame it goes light gray.
The paint did not go on every part. The trigger, the magazine catch and several pins stay steel, and they are the only dark points on the body. The front face of the suppressor is not painted either: the black mouth of the barrel shows there. On the grip the checkering and the embossed USP lettering come through the white.
Valve plays on this in the item description: the pistol looks clean, but appearances deceive. In Factory New the white field is even, with no gray scuffs on the slide edge or the corners of the grip. White paint shows wear sooner than any dark one, which is why the USP-S | Whiteout looks quite different in the lower wears.
Where the USP-S | Whiteout came from
This finish has no Steam Workshop author: Valve drew it itself. In the company's finish catalog it is number 1065. The collection came out on September 21, 2021. The date matched the launch of Operation Riptide, an update that brought several new map sets to CS:GO at once.
What to check before buying
- The float. The 0.06 to 0.07 band of the USP-S | Whiteout is short: the difference between listings disappears into the margin of error.
- The edge of the slide and the corners of the grip: on white, the first scuff shows as a gray smudge.
- Any stickers sold with the copy, plus a name tag if one is applied.
The finish is applied identically across all copies, so no copy carries a different look.
What the USP-S | Whiteout costs in Factory New
The other four wears cost noticeably less. Minimal Wear is five times cheaper, Field-Tested and Well-Worn about ten times, and Battle-Scarred eleven times. Yet only a hundredth of float separates Factory New from Minimal Wear.
Among Classified USP-S skins in Factory New, the USP-S | Whiteout costs the most. The closest below it is the Target Acquired, and the gap between them is small. After that comes a drop: the Orion is more than four times cheaper, and the Serum and Caiman five times.
Getting the USP-S | Whiteout
The USP-S | Whiteout does not drop from cases. The 2021 Train Collection is a map set, and such sets arrive as drops for hours played and also appear in Souvenir packages.
A trade-up contract also produces the USP-S | Whiteout, with ten skins from the rank below going in, all from the same set.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the USP-S | Whiteout
No StatTrak version of the USP-S | Whiteout was ever released. Souvenir copies do turn up, but no Souvenir packages were made for this finish: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.
An even white body is the most neutral base for stickers in CS2: only white and light gray stickers vanish on it, and the rest are fully visible. Dark, saturated designs stand out most. There is not much room on a USP-S, and one large sticker on the slide looks better than a dense set.
Who this wear suits
This wear is worth buying when:
- you want a flawlessly white pistol with no gray marks on the edges;
- you want the USP-S for how it looks up close, not for everyday CS2 matches;
- you're preparing a craft on a light, even base.
In a fight the difference barely reads: from a first-person view you see the suppressor and the top of the slide, while the edges are what wears. That does not justify a fivefold gap to Minimal Wear.
