Description

The Winter Offensive Weapon Case is a CS2 case. Inside are skins for weapons of several classes, and its rare special items are knives of five models, including plain knives with no skin. Do not confuse it with the eSports 2013 Winter Case: that is a separate case with its own price.

What's in the Winter Offensive Weapon Case

The skins are split by rank like this: two Covert, three Classified, four Restricted and four Mil-Spec. The Covert ones are M4A4 | Asiimov and Sawed-Off | The Kraken.

The Classified skins are M4A1-S | Guardian, P250 | Mehndi and AWP | Redline. The Restricted ones are FAMAS | Pulse, Dual Berettas | Marina, MP9 | Rose Iron and Nova | Rising Skull. Below them come Galil AR | Sandstorm, Five-SeveN | Kami, M249 | Magma and PP-Bizon | Cobalt Halftone.

Which knives drop from the Winter Offensive Weapon Case

The rare special items in this case are knives of five models: Bayonet, Flip Knife, Gut Knife, Karambit and M9 Bayonet. They come in twelve finishes: Blue Steel, Boreal Forest, Case Hardened, Crimson Web, Fade, Forest DDPAT, Night, Safari Mesh, Scorched, Slaughter, Stained and Urban Masked.

The same pool holds plain knives with no skin, all five models, and the listing description says they are not painted. Model and finish are random when the case is opened and cannot be chosen. There is no Doppler among the finishes in the pool.

Do you need a key

Yes, the Winter Offensive Weapon Case opens only with a key, and the key is bought in the game itself. Since October 2019 keys cannot be passed between accounts or sold on marketplaces. On LIS-SKINS you can therefore buy the case itself, while the key has to come from the game.

Buying a key for the sake of one item is not required: every item from the case is sold as a separate listing. When you want a particular skin or knife, a ready-made listing is a safer route than counting on chance.

What the Winter Offensive Weapon Case costs

Among CS2 cases, the Winter Offensive Weapon Case sits in the upper part of the row: only seven cases cost more. The nearest above is the Glove Case (a few percent dearer), followed by the eSports 2013 Winter Case and the eSports 2014 Summer Case, both about a fifth dearer.

Below come the Operation Riptide Case (cheaper by more than a quarter), the Operation Breakout Weapon Case (by a quarter) and the Huntsman Weapon Case (by a fifth). The top of the row is a different league. The eSports 2013 Case is almost five times as expensive, the Operation Bravo Case more than six times, and the CS:GO Weapon Case eleven and a half times.

Who it suits

Buying the Winter Offensive Weapon Case is worth it when:

  • you want to open a case with a chance at a knife of one of five classic models, rather than buy a knife ready-made;

  • you like the skins in the set: M4A4 | Asiimov, AWP | Redline and P250 | Mehndi;

  • you want a case whose pool also holds plain knives of all five models.
