Factory New (FN) on the Zeus x27 | Olympus is the wear the finish is bought for. The gold on the contacts is whole, and the body edges have not lightened. In this wear the float runs from 0.00 to 0.07. It is a Classified skin, and the taser drops from the Kilowatt Case. The Zeus sits in the equipment slot, and in CS2 it spends little time in your hands.
What the Zeus x27 | Olympus looks like in Factory New
The base is dark blue-gray, with glowing turquoise lightning across it, white only at the very core. Dark brown cracks spread over the body between the discharges. On the side by the grip is a painted Zeus: flesh-pink figure, burgundy cloak, with the hands, beard and folds of cloth all distinct. Forked discharges fan out over the body and grip from the swing, and they converge on the contacts at the tip. Gold marks the contact itself and the top plate. Valve's inspect text names the hero outright: the god of thunder.
Wear reaches the body edges and the butt of the grip, and the gold on the contacts rubs off before anything else. In Factory New neither is touched: the turquoise glow of the lightning is whole along its full length, and the gold plate keeps its shine.
Where the Zeus x27 | Olympus came from
The artwork belongs to a Steam Workshop artist who goes by apel8. The Kilowatt Collection opened in the game on February 6, 2024. Valve picked seventeen community works for the case, and its rare special item was the ★ Kukri Knife. In Valve's finish catalog the design carries number 1172.
What to check before buying
On the Zeus x27 | Olympus this is what changes from listing to listing:
- the float within 0.00 to 0.07: near zero the gold on the contacts has not a single scuff;
- whether the listing is a regular, StatTrak™ or Souvenir item;
- the applied name, if a previous owner renamed this copy.
The scale gives this wear only 0.00 to 0.07, so copies look alike. The artwork does not vary, so pattern takes no part in the choice. The finish's own scale ends at 0.67, and Battle-Scarred here takes the band from 0.45 to 0.67.
What the Zeus x27 | Olympus costs in Factory New
This is the top of the finish by price. Minimal Wear is cheaper by more than one and a half times. After that the fall stops. Field-Tested is cheaper by a factor of two and a quarter, Well-Worn by about the same, and Battle-Scarred by a factor of two and a half.
In other words the three worn wears cost nearly the same as one another, and the choice among them is made by looks, not by price.
The model has only two Classified finishes, and the Zeus x27 | Olympus is the cheaper of them: the Zeus x27 | Dragon Snore costs about six times as much.
Getting the Zeus x27 | Olympus
The taser drops from the Kilowatt Case, and this finish was never put in any other.
A trade-up wants ten skins one rank down, all from this collection. The inputs include the Glock-18 | Block-18, the MP7 | Just Smile or the Sawed-Off | Analog Input. The set has three Classified finishes, so the chance of landing on the taser is one in three. The Zeus x27 | Olympus itself goes in as an input too. Classified skins from Kilowatt are used to make a contract for the AK-47 | Inheritance and the AWP | Chrome Cannon.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Who this wear suits
The Zeus x27 | Olympus has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.
Factory New on the Zeus x27 | Olympus makes sense when:
- you want the gold on the contacts and the plate untouched;
- the taser is headed for a CS2 showcase, where the item is inspected up close;
- you want the top of the finish and the jump from Minimal Wear does not put you off.
For play this wear is overkill: the taser is rarely in your hands, and scuffs on the tip of the body cannot be read from a distance. The difference between a float of 0.01 and 0.06 shows only under inspection.
