★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged (Battle-Scarred)

Fingerless CS2 gloves with a pale scaly texture, black leather and metal plates: that is the ★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged in Battle-Scarred (BS). They have Extraordinary rank, with the star ★. They come from three cases: Operation Broken Fang, Snakebite and Recoil. The finish has five wears in all, and the float spreads across them from 0.06 to 0.80. The scale of this wear lies between 0.45 and 0.80.

What the ★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged look like in Battle-Scarred

A pale gray-green net of scales stretches over the back of the hand and the fingertips. Black and dark gray leather runs along the sides and the cuff. A steel plate with a relief emblem is fixed on the knuckles, and pyramid spikes run along its edge. A metal snap closes the cuff, with a black mesh edge showing above it. Valve writes that the gloves are decorated with metal spikes and the logo of Operation Broken Fang.

The wear of the pair is read from scuffing on the leather and the scaly fabric where the fingers bend. The pair receives its wear at the moment of the drop and carries it forever. The finish's ceiling, 0.80, cuts this wear off at the top: instead of the usual 0.45 to 1.00, the band here is 0.45 to 0.80. From 0.45 to 0.80 the scuffs on the ★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged build up noticeably.

Where the ★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged came from

The finish arrived with Operation Broken Fang, which Valve presented on December 3, 2020: the gloves are named for its logo. Later Valve added them as rare special items to the Snakebite Case (May 4, 2021) and the Recoil Case (July 4, 2022).

What to check before buying

A few points deserve a look before you buy the ★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged:

• float: inside the long band 0.45 to 0.80, pairs differ in condition, and the number is worth matching against the picture;

• the leather at the folds and the scale mesh on the fingers: the scuffs show how worn the pair is.

What the ★ Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged cost in Battle-Scarred
