Description

The ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web in Field-Tested (FT) is a CS2 falchion with a red blade crossed by dark threads of web. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The knife drops from the Falchion Case. Across all five wears the float of the falchion runs between 0.06 and 0.80, and this wear is given 0.15 to 0.38.

What the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web looks like in Field-Tested

The blade is curved with its point turned up, and the cutting edge is lighter than the rest of the body. Thin dark threads spread over the red base. A dark gray steel plate sits at the base of the blade, the handle scales are red and the tail ends in a dark cap. Valve's description says the web is transferred to the red base on hydrographic film and sealed under a semi-gloss lacquer.

Field-Tested already shows wear, and it settles on the light edge and on the point. Wear is fixed at the drop. The 0.15 to 0.38 stretch of the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web leaves room to choose, and copies are cleaner toward 0.15.

Where the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web came from

The falchion appeared in May 2015 with Operation Bloodhound. Valve wrote at the time that the new knife lay only in the Falchion Case of that operation, and Crimson Web is among its finishes.

Phase and pattern

The artwork of Crimson Web is not the same on every copy: the pattern index decides where the web lands on the blade and how many centers it has. One or two centers give an ordinary copy, and three or more give the rarest and most expensive group.

The finish has no phases the way Doppler does, and the listing name does not give the number of centers. They have to be counted from the picture.

What to check before buying

These parameters are worth checking in a listing of the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web:

  • the number of web centers in the listing picture, since three or more lift a copy into the most expensive group;

  • float: within 0.15 to 0.38, listings differ by how many marks sit on the light edge;

  • the applied name: a name tag is allowed on the falchion and stays on the item after purchase;

  • the version: a StatTrak copy is listed as a separate product.

What the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web costs in Field-Tested

Factory New is noticeably pricier. Minimal Wear (MW) costs nearly twice as much as Field-Tested, Well-Worn an eighth more and Battle-Scarred 3% more.

Among the 18 Covert finishes of the falchion in Field-Tested, Crimson Web is fourth from the top. Above it stand Blue Steel by an eighth, Case Hardened by a third and Slaughter by two thirds. Below it lie Lore by a sixth, Autotronic by a fifth, Damascus Steel by a quarter and Stained by thirty percent. The bottom of the row is held by Boreal Forest, Safari Mesh and Forest DDPAT, which cost almost half as much.

Getting the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web

The ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web drops from the Falchion Case, and the wear and the number of web centers are random when the case opens. The second route is a contract: five Covert skins from one collection are exchanged for a rare special item. Neither the knife nor the pattern on the way out can be assigned. The web you need comes only with a ready listing.

Is there a StatTrak version

A StatTrak version of the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web exists in the game.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is a reasonable place to buy the ★ Falchion Knife | Crimson Web under these conditions:

  • you want a red falchion with a web, and Factory New is noticeably pricier;

  • the copy has to be chosen by the number of web centers, not only by float;

  • the CS2 loadout is built on red, and the dark plate at the base of the blade adds contrast.
