The ★ Flip Knife | Autotronic in Field-Tested (FT) is a blade of light steel with a red anodized base and a black mesh insert. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. In CS2 the Flip Knife comes from two cases, the Gamma Case and the Gamma 2 Case. The float of the finish runs from 0.00 to 0.85, and Field-Tested takes 27% of the scale.
What the ★ Flip Knife | Autotronic looks like in Field-Tested
At the heel the blade is flooded with red lacquer carrying a round emblem, and higher along the spine runs a dark insert with a mesh pattern. The rest of the flat is light steel, and the cutting edge is serrated. The handle is gray, with slanted ribs. Valve writes that the knife is anodized red and lightened with steel mesh.
The tip of the blade and the serrations on the edge lose their look first. In Field-Tested the marks already read, although the red lacquer at the base holds. The wear is fixed at drop and does not build up.
What to check before buying
In a ★ Flip Knife | Autotronic listing, check these parameters:
- float: the 0.15 to 0.38 stretch holds both nearly clean copies and clearly scuffed ones;
- applied name: a name tag can be put on this knife, and there are no stickers;
- pattern: the layout of the parts is the same on all copies, so listings differ in wear only.
What the ★ Flip Knife | Autotronic costs in Field-Tested
Factory New (FN) costs almost twice as much, Minimal Wear (MW) about a quarter more, and Well-Worn (WW) about 10% more. Battle-Scarred (BS) is 7% cheaper, so the cheapest wear turns out to be BS rather than Field-Tested.
Among the Covert flip knives, this finish is third by price after Slaughter and Crimson Web. Just below it, almost level, come Blue Steel, Case Hardened and Lore, while Black Laminate is noticeably cheaper. The cheapest finishes of the model are Boreal Forest, Safari Mesh and Forest DDPAT.
Getting the ★ Flip Knife | Autotronic
The Flip Knife | Autotronic is dropped by the Gamma Case and the Gamma 2 Case, with the wear decided by chance. What remains is the trade-up contract: five Covert skins from one collection become one rare special item, and the model and finish cannot be chosen beforehand.
Is there a StatTrak version
A StatTrak version of the Flip Knife | Autotronic exists in the game.
