★ Flip Knife | Ultraviolet (Field-Tested)

The ★ Flip Knife | Ultraviolet in Field-Tested (FT) is a CS2 flip knife with a dark graphite blade and a purple handle. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. It comes out of the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case. The finish comes in five wears, with the float stretched from 0.06 to 0.80, and this wear sits between 0.15 and 0.38.

What the ★ Flip Knife | Ultraviolet looks like in Field-Tested

Valve describes the finish as separate parts painted in solid color, in a black and purple palette. The blade is nearly black with a graphite sheen. It curves backward and has a serrated stretch at the base of the edge. The handle is solid purple with slanted ribs. The knife carries no pattern, and the color lies flat.

In Field-Tested the marks of wear are already present: light metal shows at the toe of the blade and on the ribs of the handle. Since wear is set at the drop, copies from either end of the 0.15 to 0.38 band remain different.

What to check before buying

What separates one ★ Flip Knife | Ultraviolet listing from another comes down to these points:

• float: the closer to 0.15, the fewer light scratches on the dark blade;

• a name on the handle: a name tag is allowed, but the knife has no sticker slots;

• version: StatTrak listings are separate items.

There is no pattern to choose by, since it is the same on every listing. Go by the number, not by the label on the wear, since the 0.15 to 0.38 band is wide.

What the ★ Flip Knife | Ultraviolet costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs 3.73 times as much, and Minimal Wear 1.25 times as much. Well-Worn costs the same as Field-Tested, while Battle-Scarred is a twentieth cheaper.

Among the Covert flip knife finishes in this wear, Ultraviolet is in the middle of the list. Black Laminate, Damascus Steel, Night, Stained and Freehand are level with it, within three percent. Boreal Forest is a sixth cheaper, and Slaughter is more than twice as expensive. Autotronic and Crimson Web sit higher still.

Getting the ★ Flip Knife | Ultraviolet

The knife drops from the Chroma cases (the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case), and the wear is random. The other route is a contract in which five Covert skins from one collection yield one rare special item. The finish cannot be assigned there, so Ultraviolet is bought as a ready listing.

Is there a StatTrak version

A StatTrak version of the Flip Knife | Ultraviolet exists in the game.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is a reasonable pick for this flip knife in cases like these:

• you need a dark blade with a purple handle for a CS2 loadout;

• every copy has the same artwork, so listings are compared on float alone;

• Factory New costs 3.73 times as much, and light marks on a dark blade do not bother you.
