★ Gut Knife | Freehand (Field-Tested)

The ★ Gut Knife | Freehand in Field-Tested (FT) is a CS2 gut knife whose blade is covered in white and silver strokes over purple paint. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The knife can be had from the Gamma Case and the Gamma 2 Case. The finish's whole float range lies between 0.00 and 0.48, with five wears. The band of this wear of the ★ Gut Knife | Freehand lies between 0.15 and 0.38.

What the ★ Gut Knife | Freehand looks like in Field-Tested

The purple base is almost hidden by a dense pattern of white and silver lines: curls and marks lie tight together, like graffiti. A hook sits on the spine of the blade, which gave the knife its name. The handle is reddish-brown wood, with purple liners along its edges. Valve says the black-and-purple base was decorated with metallic marker.

The 0.15 to 0.38 band of the ★ Gut Knife | Freehand leaves room to choose: the closer to 0.15, the cleaner the copies. Wear is locked in at drop, and the knife does not wear down further.

What to check before buying

Choosing a specific ★ Gut Knife | Freehand comes down to these points:

• float: at 0.15 the white drawing is cleaner, and at 0.38 there is noticeably more scuffing;

• the wear in the listing name: Factory New (FN) and Battle-Scarred (BS) are separate products, and their price is higher;

• the applied name: a gut knife takes a name tag, and the inscription stays on the item.

What the ★ Gut Knife | Freehand costs in Field-Tested

The other wears of this finish cost as follows:

• Factory New costs 1.33 times as much;

• Minimal Wear costs 1.14 times as much;

• Well-Worn costs 1.24 times as much;

• Battle-Scarred costs 1.72 times as much.

Of the eighteen gut knife finishes in this wear, nine are cheaper and eight are pricier, so Freehand stands in the very middle of the row. Stained is 3 percent higher, Ultraviolet 1, Urban Masked level, and Damascus Steel and Bright Water 1 lower. The cheapest are Safari Mesh, Scorched and Boreal Forest, and the priciest Autotronic, Case Hardened and Slaughter.

Getting the ★ Gut Knife | Freehand

This gut knife drops from two cases, the Gamma Case and the Gamma 2 Case, and the wear is random. The second route is a contract: five Covert skins from one collection yield a rare special item in which neither the model nor the Freehand finish can be chosen. The gut knife you want is bought as a ready listing.
