This is the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire in Factory New (FN), where the pale flare mid-blade reads with no scuffing near it. Covert rank, ★ mark. The knife drops from three cases at once: the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case. The scale ends at 0.08, leaving one neighboring condition, Minimal Wear.
What the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire looks like in Factory New
Blue with a violet cast covers the curved blade, and a large white-blue patch sits in the middle of the face. The patch is offset toward the spine, while heel and point run darker. White gives way to blue softly, through a pale blue border, and light catches along the top edge. The finger ring is blue, the handle gray-green and unpainted, and the jimping on the spine keeps its color.
Factory New is allotted 0.00 to 0.07. The band is tight, and listings at either end differ by the number alone. Scuffing takes the inner curve of the edge and the ring first, while the pale patch is barely reached.
Where the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire came from
Valve made the finish, and no artist submission stands behind it in the Steam Workshop. Doppler dates from January 8, 2015, when the Full Spectrum update and the first Chroma case arrived. Its catalog number is 418. A Valve note of May 24, 2024 mentioned a fix to the look of Doppler and Gamma Doppler.
Phase and pattern
The item sells by phase, and the phase stands in its name: four numbered ones, Phase 1 through Phase 4, plus Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl. CS2 counts those last three as gems, together with the emerald Gamma Doppler. Sapphire exists on Doppler only, and Emerald on Gamma Doppler only.
Inside Sapphire the pattern index decides how wide the flare came out and where it shifted. Sources do not agree on a premium for the pattern within a gem, so do not count on one.
What to check before buying
A listing is picked on these signs:
- the phase in the name: solid blue Phase 4 copies, called Max Blue, come close to Sapphire in looks but live on another page;
- the float, which does not show inside this condition, though the number is noted before purchase;
- the applied name, as another owner's inscription travels with the knife;
- the version, since a StatTrak listing counts as a separate item.
What the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire costs in Factory New
In the karambit's Covert tier Sapphire is fifth from the top of thirty-three. Above it stand Karambit | Doppler Black Pearl, Karambit | Doppler Ruby, Karambit | Gamma Doppler Emerald and Karambit | Crimson Web.
Of the model's four gems Sapphire is the cheapest, and the order is not unbroken: Crimson Web wedges itself in among them. Below sit Karambit | Gamma Doppler Phase 2 and Karambit | Ultraviolet.
Getting the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire
Three Chroma cases give the karambit up as a rare ★ item, but the game picks the phase, not the buyer. The craft works the same way: five Covert skins of one collection yield a random knife or glove pair. So Sapphire is bought as a finished listing.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire exists; a Souvenir edition does not.
Who this wear suits
Buying the ★ Karambit | Doppler Sapphire here is justified in these cases:
- the cheapest way into the karambit's gems is the aim;
- the ring and the inner curve of the edge have to show no gaps;
- the loadout calls for clean blue rather than a green or pearl blade.
