The ★ Karambit | Marble Fade in Factory New (FN) is a curved CS2 claw blade washed in cool shifts of light blue, pink and blue. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. This Karambit drops from the Chroma Case, and also from the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case. The finish's float ends at 0.08, which leaves two wears: after Factory New comes only Minimal Wear (MW).
What the ★ Karambit | Marble Fade looks like in Factory New
The arc of the blade is covered in cloudy swirls: light blue and blue along the spine, pink and whitish patches nearer the tip. The handle is gray, ribbed, with finger grooves. The ring on the butt is gold on top and blue below, so a warm detail echoes a color the blade almost lacks. Under the colored lacquer, Valve puts a black-and-silver metallic base with a marble pattern.
This wear of the ★ Karambit | Marble Fade runs from 0.00 to 0.07. A Karambit is curved, so marks settle first on the point of the arc and the inner cutting edge. In Factory New the paint is whole along the full length. Whatever wear a copy received at the drop is the wear it keeps.
What to check before buying
Before buying the ★ Karambit | Marble Fade, check a few points:
- the wear in the listing title: Minimal Wear costs about a fifth more than Factory New;
- name tag: a Karambit can take one, but it has no sticker slots;
- edition: the StatTrak knife is a separate item, and a regular listing has no counter;
- float: the 0.00 to 0.07 band is tight on the ★ Karambit | Marble Fade, and the extreme listings differ only in the number.
What the ★ Karambit | Marble Fade costs in Factory New
The top wear is cheaper than Minimal Wear by about a fifth.
In the Karambit lineup, Marble Fade sits nearer the bottom: eight finishes cost less. Slaughter and Lore are about a tenth higher, Black Laminate is level, and Stained is a seventh lower. Bright Water is almost half the price. Among the expensive finishes, Gamma Doppler Emerald costs almost seven times as much, Doppler Ruby more than seven, and Doppler Black Pearl almost nine.
Getting the ★ Karambit | Marble Fade
The Karambit | Marble Fade drops from three Chroma cases, and the wear is random. The contract also leads to a rare special item, but with no choice. Five Covert skins from one collection trade for a knife whose model and finish are unknown in advance. A Marble Fade Karambit is bought as a ready listing.
