The ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet in Field-Tested (FT) is a black knife with purple inserts on the handle. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. In CS2 the karambit drops from three Chroma cases. The float scale begins at 0.06 and reaches 0.80, there are five wears, and Field-Tested takes up 31% of that length.
What the ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet looks like in Field-Tested
The curved blade is two-toned: a dark gray flat on top and lighter steel along the edge. The handle and the ring are black, and ribbed purple panels are set into the sides of the handle. Valve's description says the parts of the knife are painted in solid color.
Marks of wear collect first on the tip and the edge. Wear is assigned once, at the drop, and Field-Tested is no exception.
What to check before buying
Before taking a ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet, look at these points:
- float: near the ends of the 0.15 to 0.38 band, listings look different from each other;
- the applied name: a name tag can go on a karambit, but there are no stickers;
- the artwork: every copy carries the same pattern, so the only thing to choose by is wear.
What the ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet costs in Field-Tested
Factory New (FN) is clearly dearer than every wear below it. Minimal Wear (MW) costs about a quarter more, Well-Worn (WW) costs the same, and Battle-Scarred (BS) is 13% cheaper.
Among Covert karambits, this finish is in the middle of the row. Freehand and Night are close in price, Stained and Damascus Steel are higher, and Bright Water is lower. The dearest are Blue Steel, Autotronic and Slaughter, and the cheapest are Boreal Forest, Safari Mesh and Forest DDPAT.
Getting the ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet
The Ultraviolet karambit drops from the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case, and the wear comes out at random. The fallback is a trade-up contract: five Covert skins from one collection produce a rare special item, with no say over the model or the finish.
Is there a StatTrak version
A StatTrak version of the Karambit | Ultraviolet exists in the game.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested is the right wear for this karambit when:
- you want a black knife with purple trim and do not want to overpay for Factory New;
- you are picking a float inside 0.15 to 0.38, and traces on the edge are acceptable;
- your CS2 loadout is built on dark tones with a single purple accent.
