★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife

The ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife is the CS2 Stiletto with a kill counter but no skin. The listing description marks it as unpainted. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. There is no wear, float or pattern, and only the counter reading distinguishes one listing from another.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife looks like

The Stiletto's blade is narrow and very long, converging on a needle point. The steel is bare, with faint diagonal grinding stripes. At the heel the blade enters a steel bolster on the handle.

The handle is elongated and reddish-brown, with a dark texture and several rivets. A steel cap sits on the butt. The counter does not change the appearance.

How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife differs from a skinned one

A skinned knife has wear, artwork and sometimes a phase. Here all three are absent:

• there is no wear, and the listing gives no float band;

• there is no pattern, so copies are indistinguishable;

• a name tag can be applied, stickers cannot;

• the only difference between listings is the number on the counter.

The choice is between a normal Stiletto and one with a counter.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife costs

The ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife sits above ten skins of the model by starting price and below fourteen. The nearest beneath it are Stiletto Knife | Damascus Steel (1.10 times cheaper), Stiletto Knife | Stained (1.20 times) and Stiletto Knife | Ultraviolet (1.26 times).

Directly above come Stiletto Knife | Blue Steel (1 percent more), Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened (5 percent) and Stiletto Knife | Crimson Web (7 percent). The top of the range is the Doppler gems: Sapphire costs 5.4 times as much, Black Pearl 9 times and Ruby 9.1 times.

StatTrak and the normal version

A normal version of the Stiletto exists, and it has a page of its own. The counter tallies kills made with this copy, does not reset, and goes to the buyer as it stands. Next to the normal version the counter adds about 5 percent.

Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife

In CS2 the Stiletto drops from the Prisma 2 Case, the Prisma and Horizon cases, and the Danger Zone Case. The Danger Zone Case came out on December 7, 2018, in the "Welcome to the Danger Zone" update. In the rare special item pool the knife sits beside the skins and drops at random.

If cases do not suit, there is a contract of five Covert StatTrak skins from one collection. It returns a rare special item, but which one is left to chance.

Who it suits

Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife on LIS-SKINS makes sense when:

• you want a narrow blade and a reddish-brown textured handle, and no skin;

• you want a kill counter on a Stiletto without paying extra for artwork;

• you do not want to pay nine times more for Black Pearl or Ruby Doppler.
